I don't think many people realize ths, I think one of the reason we pay so "much" for this game is because of qualities like these. The melodies really emphasizes the greatness of Azeroth. You can easily tell they've put some time into composing these great pieces of music art.

It woudln't go like that at all. It would be a loud and kickass party song on the Orcs' part as they completely obliterate the stupid Night Elves with their stupid moonwells, then catapult their severed heads into their stupid buildings, drenched in oil and burning. Then they'd drive their kodos through stupid Darnassus, just trampling over everything and beating their kodo drums.
@GrandGetsuga0 Quel'dorei isnt in the song either, Seelorei is, but I guess its some other branch of Night elves? Perhaps naga? Anyway, in the song theres "Elune watches". Elune symbalizes the moon, so that would actually be "the moon watches". So both sun and moon watches. That could be about the cycle of day and night or maybe two conflicting gods?
@Karmelloo First of all: Why are you so damn offensive? Second of all: Just try rolling a forsaken after cataclysm is out. It's all explained there. Sylvanas actually says "Without the val'kyr our people will have no way of reproducing. The Forsaken will die out". Or something like that. When you start as forsaken now, you are actually raised by a val'kyr too.
@Karmelloo Uhm, if you look away from the fact that Sylvanas is desperately trying to find means for her race to reproduce? Sylvanas CANNOT simply raise more. That's why she's trying to get the val'kyr on her side so that they can create new Forsaken.
Humans are ambitious and treacherous. Undead are the very same, but they also kill basically everything and plague Azeroth. Dwarves are leaning to much up against the humans, being destructive, aggressive and a bit to fond of explosives. The orcs have a warrior society and have corruption in their blood, nuff said. Blood elves are ambitious, power hungry, arrogant and corrupted as well. Clearly all of them are of absolutely no benefit to Azeroth. All are either plagued with corruption, directly damage Azeroth or drown in their own ambition. Tauren are peace loving and take care of the land. The darkspear are wise, loyal and would easily bond with new factions. Night elves are basically like the tauren and they have excellent warriors, druids and their knowledge of nature is vast. The gnomes are the smartest on Azeroth, their technology is unmatched and they're the least warmongering race in both the Horde and Alliance. As for the draenei, there is hardly an aspect where they are not superior. Their technology is superior, their soldiers (vindicators included) are unmatched and are extremely powerful. Their knowledge of the burning legion, the light, the galaxy, the arcane and technology is unmatched by anyone on Azeroth. Logical conclusion: Merge the peaceful, Azeroth loving, nature mending, intelligent, wise, powerful and knowledgeable races togeather to one faction and boom! Azeroth is saved.
+Nick Byrgesen Oh my sweet summerchild.. you have got no idea, how aggressive the Kaldorei actually are. They are warrior people, even thou they dont seem like it. @chibiraid I just did the research based on the highest rated comments lyrics. And Adore means to watch/watches, which is what they sing. Basically, "The Sun watches. The moon watches".
@GrandGetsuga0 well that wouldnt really fit into a night elf theme song :p Azshara kinda betrayed the Kal'dorei by summoning the burning legion into azeroth :p they don't like her.
@GrandGetsuga0 Uhm, Night Elf mages? The Night Elves has begun to accept the Highborne, or actually they are forced to do so, as they need all they can get against Deathwing.
I love the fact you just gave us all a preview of a movie that does not exist. I'm glad to see there are people out there with such vivid and amazing imaginations such as myself. It was like I was watching the intro you just described. Thank you for that :)
Actually i'm a Neutral Pandaren, I live peacefully with trees, grass, animals, my spirit is as pure as my relentless devotion to our eternal emperor Shaohao.
I play World of Warcraft since 2006, and after a 2 months break i will return in two weeks... it is the BEST Fantasy mmorpg, and no content will change that, after my opinion. It's all about the people you play with, when your guild is great, no one cares for the content anymore. and by the way: ALLIANCE FUCKIN' RULES! :O
I remember the very start of this song playing during an early alliance quest in Twilight Highlands out on a sinking boat. A night elf ghost emerges from the sea and then this songs starts playing, I was amazed by how fitting this was for that quest.
Yep.At least an interesting storyline.Since we all complained about Cata, and now complain even more about MoP due to the everyday grindfest thats really gotten out of hand this time,I wonder how the next expansion will be...
Everyone seems to miss WoW the from the earliest point they started playing. The vanilla version remains the best to this day. The game is only getting worse and worse every other expansion - Blizzard too.
They should have this in Warsong Gulch, it's half NE territory. I mean c'mon, why do Blizz keep their epic soundtracks into hard or barely-visited places like raid dungeons or Feralas?
Finally. I have been searching so much for this song and now... I finally managed to find it. A whole year has passed since I've started my search for this song, and months of pure unsuccess have wandered around.. I can't believe it. I still think this is just a dream. Jesus Christ... Whoever made it, GOOD FREAKIN' JOB, oh and thank you for uploading it Krisp4ever. YOU MADE MY DAY !
That's great,i'm happy for you.You managed to quit the parallel universe of Azeroth.Respects to you sir.Same with me,i have been playing for 7 months tho.Was hard to quit.
I started playing in Vanilla but I was such a noob that I only really started to get myself together around BC. But for me, WotLK was the best. I met all of my closest WoW friends during that time, and hit my first level cap. Cataclysm was great, but just before Pandaria came out all of my friends quit one by one and I had to quit for various reasons. Sort of thinking about starting again, though. Pandaria looks so good.
The reason the Pandaren were in the Bonus campaign was because of an artist making a panda drawing representing his friend and colleague. And after some feedback they decided that these guys were Pandaren, and put them in the lore. Your opinion doesn't mean fact. Just because you don't find something fitting the way it is, doesn't mean it is. We've got bipedal Cows, Dragons, Bears, werewolves, I don't see why we can't have Panda bears, when we have bears.
If it was possible I would trade everything I have, even my life, to wake up one day in this beautiful world. The nature, the creatures, the people (don't mean humans only). I would love to see night elves, to spend time in their beautiful forests. I would love to visit human and dwarf cities. I want to go Silvermoon city and see beautiful blood elves. I would love to meet taurens and orcs. I would love just to be there, wherever it is, just there...
i agree.. i stopped playing WoW like 2 years ago.. even deleted my main char with all items so that i dont get the idea to start again (gladly with Mists of Pandaria they released an Addon i had absolutly no interest in). But still it feels like .. (can´t find the right words) If there is the microscopic chance of beeing reborn in another world after we die.. we shall meet in Ogrimmar someday (hopefully i wont end up as a murloc.. -_-)
Eh, I played for 7 years (Started at 15). It got to the point where, now being at 23, a lot of things became possible for me to do with my life. I wanted to play WoW still, but I just couldnt balance what I wanted in WoW (phat lewt! Epic raid guild!) with what I wanted in my life. I had been trying to find that balance since I was probably 19. One night while lying in bed it just dawned on me that my time in WoW was done and it was time to move on. Haven't looked back.
Warcraft is about a war between two factions, and Blizzard has pretty much forgotten that. Vanilla had war with all those pvp zones, TBC and Wrath had no war cause both sides knew that the Burning Legion and the Scourge were more important. Catacylsm started to bring back the war with Garrosh in charge of the Horde (but it was put in the background cause Blizz was too busy glorifing Thrall). Now in MoP its full scale war, thats why MoP is so good, its going back to what Warcraft truly is: A WAR
High Elves today exist throughout Azeroth and Draenor. Large pockets of them exist in Theramore, Stormwind, Quel'Lithien Lodge (later most became wretched due to an artifact), Quel'Danil Lodge, Farstrider Lodge, Allerian Stronghold, Dalaran, and according to the now mostly non-canon RPG books, there were settlements near Quel'thalas that are High Elven, most likely referring to the unused zone, but of course, that could be false due to the nature of the RPG books.
I realize what -he- says. High Elves still exist though, separate from the Blood Elves. Of the population of Helves before the Third War, 90% died. 90% of the survivers became Belves, while the other 10% (1% of the original population of Helves), refused, originally due to the notions Kael'thas had their new race and how he was leading it. Others simply were uninformed. When Grand Magister Romath returned and told the Belves to use fel energy, some refused and left, rejoining the Helves.
No, High Elves were never tainted by the fel energy the Blood Elves used. Thus, they have no mutations (Blood Elves in lore are almost sickly pale but also tinged red, all their eyes are shaded green, and they have a slightly different culture and ethics). Even their genetics are supposedly different now due to the mutation, though they still are extremely similar. The remaining High Elves (Roughly 25k, in the Silver Covenant, Quel'Danil, the ones in Ally cities, etc) seem to be anti-Blood elf.
Actually Blood Elves were the elves that decided to use demonic energy to compensate for their Arcane magic addiction. High Elves still wield arcane magic but blood elves we're devoid of their main source of it, the sunwell, when it fell to the hands of the Burning Legion. They decided to follow Kael'thas because he was promised a cure to their craving through demonic energy. It is only too late that the blood elves turned to the Horde for they were already addicted to demonic energy (green eye)
Since it is good to comment, yet risky to criticise... oh well. It is nice to hear once, but the melody is too repetetive, most words unneeded, easily discernable, which distracts from listening. However, the voice is fitting, gentle. It should have remained a voice though, not letters. Overall, the tune lacks progression throughout the whole play - hearing first 3 minutes is enough to know how the rest goes on.
That's why it should be more than ONE movie! The alliance: a dominating force trying to establish a force of what it believes to be right and true. The Horde: a coalition of beings trying to redeem itself of corruption, yet trying to establish itself as something to say "WE ARE HERE, WE ARE PROUD" of independece! The movie could easily go beyond a trilogy! We need a series, like Harry Potter did!
this could be used as an epic intro for an epic beginning battle of an epic world of warcraft movie. just imagine it. the movie starts as the woman sings Nordrassil and it slowly zooms in the forest and shows a dead elf and then when she says Quel'dorei a high elf comes and pats the dead night elf on the shoulder and looks around thinking what might have happened and at 1:10 the high elf finally sees his target an orc and at 1:20 starts chasing him, then on the screen it signs Blizzard Presents.
Other classes point at us, the night elven players, and they tell us what? That we're sassy? That we are incapable of even wielding a weapon? That we are interested in the same gender? Well, I tell them: No. We are ancient, immortal warriors of Azeroth. We have lived through the darkest of times, and through thousand of years, ever since the creation of our species. We are not a superior race, nor an uncivil one, nor one that cannot handle their own problems. We. Are. Night Elves.
The Night Elves was once the most powerful race in Azeroth, now they're becoming ancient, their race is dying out, ever since the Legion tried to destroy the world, the night elves have been a dying race. Because of all the corruption and devastation. It is time for the Night elves and all the other races in Azeroth to make their final stand against the true threat, the one that started all war and destruction. The maker of the Burning Legion, The Dark Titan, Sargeras.....
@CorfixAMV ofcourse they where forced they didn't have much of a choice.. the highborn knew of the danger ahead and after all the things the nightelf have gone through the past thousand year...they thought is best to listen to the highborn they're not completly stupid.. the highborn came to the city carring the warning with them and even if the nightelf hated them they actualy listend to theyre warning.. cus they know when someone is trying to help them and they learn to not ignore a warning
Yeh, it was made up as joke in Warcraft 3, that's what I most likely ment :3 But well, I myself think they could of made the naga.. They look pretty awesome (AND.. Lore-wise it is possible though they do get shunned by the Alliance and Horde but it is not completely impossible that they can join one of the main factions.)
what i meant by what i wrote is that the movie will be about wow before the blood elves hated the night elves and were actually in allegiance with them and having the intro of the movie showing that would actually give it more sense showing the relationship of both fellow races in the beginning dont u think?
people say its all about the gear and the hp and the pvping, but its not. The other day, I was on a battle ground at level 20, and i have to admit i didn't have very good armour. I was a blood elf hunter and i just wanted to have fun, and i kept dying, and this tauren said to me to get geared up. I don't want to get geared up. I want to get adventured up...
@Sun2strider It plays a lot of places, actually. If you're Horde go north outside of Orgrimmar and turn west out to where the Night Elves are before you get to the bridge to Ashenvale. You'll hear it there. Another good place is the Dalaran Crater in Hillsbrad Foothills just across the lake south of the Undercity.
@aevilpresnts I was under the impression that the Alliance hated the Forsaken because they keep viciously attacking and turning people into Undead servants, and that the Horde hated the Forsaken because they never listen to orders and, again, keep turning people into Undead servants. When you think about it, those are some very good reasons.
@JasonLeeSkelly .. think the draenei are a bit more feminine due to their curves. tho yea human females have the biggest boobs. isnt that feminine? depends on how yous ee it... im a female, and i always loved nightelves tho dont know why :P its not because they are feminine.. then i would also like blood elves...
F'in amazing thats all I have to say about it. for someone who grew up with an atari 2600 it's shocking how far games have come. Would have never imagined music like this in a video game when i was a kid. Blizzard really nailed it with cata music. This soundtrack is a benchmark that will take many years for other game companies to reach.
@TheEbenin The Quel'Dorei (= children of noble birth) are the high elves (or highborne), who mainly lived in Zin'Azshari (also mentioned in the lyrics.) So I'm assuming she's singing about them. The Kal'Dorei are the night elves in general (or the race that became the night elves after contact with the well of eternity, it's all very vague).
This is normal, people usually start to hate stuff when them become popular. To be honest, the historical context of the first three expansions was the better, because we had seen it on Warcraft, but the gameplay is much better now and the context is good too, it's just new.
Nordrassil Zin-Azshari Quel´Dorei Nordrassil Elune Adore Elune Adore Zin-azhari Zin-azshari Adore and now English lyric Nordrassil Glory of Azshara Children of noble birth Nordrassil Eulne be with you Elune be with you Glory of Azshara Glory of Azshara ..be with you Thumbs up so everyone can see it

I love the fact you just gave us all a preview of a movie that does not exist. I'm glad to see there are people out there with such vivid and amazing imaginations such as myself. It was like I was watching the intro you just described. Thank you for that :)
@GrandGetsuga0 Or it the song could be about how Highborne and Night Elves are now being united? Tbh, thats what I believe.
totally agree to u, especially in mist of pandaria. where the world that i really wanna stay inside there.
@jet44444 No, Dorei means child. Kal'Dorei = Children of the Stars. Sin'Dorei = Children of the sun...
A night elf ghost emerges from the sea and then this songs starts playing, I was amazed by how fitting this was for that quest.
is this soundtrack playing in teldrassil instead of enchanted forest?? you gotta be kiding me!
Yep.At least an interesting storyline.Since we all complained about Cata, and now complain even more about MoP due to the everyday grindfest thats really gotten out of hand this time,I wonder how the next expansion will be...
This is beyond amazing.
Was listening to this running semi-naked in moonglade with my druid and i was sooo content IRL.Dunno why....
I like to call it Epic Orchestral.
I quit WoW slightly before you, in January, after playing for that long as well. Honestly, the only thing I miss is my guild and this beautiful music.
(can´t find the right words)
If there is the microscopic chance of beeing reborn in another world after we die.. we shall meet in Ogrimmar someday (hopefully i wont end up as a murloc..
@CorfixAMV ofcourse they where forced they didn't have much of a choice.. the highborn knew of the danger ahead and after all the things the nightelf have gone through the past thousand year...they thought is best to listen to the highborn they're not completly stupid.. the highborn came to the city carring the warning with them and even if the nightelf hated them they actualy listend to theyre warning.. cus they know when someone is trying to help them and they learn to not ignore a warning
im all for the horde but alliance has the best fucking music. i may switch to alliance just so i can sit in the night elve starting zone
Yeh, it was made up as joke in Warcraft 3, that's what I most likely ment :3
But well, I myself think they could of made the naga..
