At 2:15 where you choose the "box" as surface, i cant do the same. I click on Surface, and then i try to click in the box, but i can't, i click on it, and nothing happens, like there's nothing there.

I just had the same thing happen! Double-check your Object Properties for the collision object (Your rod), and make sure it's been set as a Collision Object! Mine decided to uncheck itself even after confirming and closing, but the Group Selector is contextual, so it will only allow you to pick objects that have been previously added in the Object Properties. Hope this helps! :)
