    In the movie Snape's last words are "you have your mother's eyes". And indeed when in the book he says "look at me" he means exactly what he says in the movie but it is much more subtle and less redundant since he will discover it when he sees his memories.

    • @babadoudidadouda
      @babadoudidadouda 20 дней назад +3

      In lukewarm defense of Snape (because I admit, he could have checked what Harry was writing instead of assuming the worth), he probably though Harry was just doodling and not writing about what Snape was saying. And, to be fair, Snape wasn't really saying anything that warranted taking writing notes, and none of the other students were taking note either, only listening and "paying attention". However, Snape didn't take the time to verify if he was right in his assumptions.

    I don't think the teacher's set common room passwords. Sir cadogan constantly changes the password whenever he wants eden he replaced the fat lady, and she seems to change the password whence she wants as well. The Ravenclaw door asks various riddles, and it appears to judge whether the answer is good enough or not, instead of stating that the answer is correct. So it is possible that Snape didn't even set the "pureblood" password

    Why couldnt the password be Dumbledoor?
    Snape played the double agent well. Candy, he clearly still respected Dumbledoor.
    But making that the *password* is a great double play;
    - Taking the Carrows up? "Dumbledoor" is him revelling in his kill of the greatest wizard, the only one Voldy feared.
    - Taking anyone else up? "Dumbledoor" is him showing respect to the previous headmaster, their shared fallen leader.

    I always think about snape using expelliamis and what it really validated. We all know that Lockhart was going to be an awful Defese against the Dark Arts teacher. And that snape has been pushing to be in that position for years. And as such, he literally taught the class correctly to give them some moniker of knowledge in defense against dark wizards. And probably the best level one spell to use for begginners to get away. A disarming spell.
    And with snape being more than capable of advanced magic, he could have shown off any of the vast techniques in his arsenal. Yet he chose the basic, yet very potent variation of a disarming spell. I think he actually taught the class and taught them something valuable. He also made sure it was a spell they could learn and apply. Because he knew they'd learn nothing else from the class that year.

      I can’t overlook how he treats his students.
      He may have been on the “good” side-
      But his treatment of those he was suppose to teach and look after was reprehensible.
      The top two being Harry and Neville.
      For Harry, - how could he treat the child of the person he loved SO much, so horribly. I mean… I get that he hated James- but Harry is still Lilly’s child. It’s quite disrespectful to go so far as harassing him. Dislike because of who Harry’s father is? Sure… but not treat poorly for no reason.
      And Neville ? Absolutely abhorrent treatment. It’s no wonder Neville did poorly when he was being terrorized by the teacher. How can you expect a CHILD to do well under those conditions?!?
      So yes, Snape was “good” all along… but I will never like him.
      (As for Malfoy…. I can forgive a child for his actions when you think about the fact he was a KID being heavily influenced by his parents. You also see how much it is mentally and physically affecting him in the later series . )

    BC calculus was the harder one. The AP exams were A, B, and C. If you were going to take only the first two parts, that was AB. If you took the harder tests, you'd skip test A and take tests B and C. I believe A was pre-calc. B was derivatives. C was integrals.

    ⚠️Off topic from video, day nine of asking for what ifs⚠️
    1: What if Dudley went to Hogwarts? I think he'd be a Hufflepuff and be pretty good at defense against the dark arts and I think it would be fun to have him be good at divination cause none of the golden trio are good at or even seem to respect it.
    2: What if Aang died with the other Air nomads and one of the other main characters eventually became the Avatar? I think the most interesting would be Sokka and Zuko.
    3: What if Prim became the Mockingjay? The only way I see this happening is if Katniss gets caught hunting and either gets killed or sent to the Capital and becomes an avox, a year or two before Prims game so she gets some survival skills not as good as Katniss but better than nothing.
