It's one of my all time favorite albums ever! I was a big Boot Camp Clik (one of my good friends in high school introduced me to their awesomeness) fan in high school & OGC was my favorite subgroup in the supergroup.
Man, I was bumping all of the Bootcamp in the Bronx. Black Moon, Smif n Wessun, Heltah Skeltah, O.G.C and Fab Five. Beatminerz kept them dip too. #90sHipHop #RIPSeanP ✊🏿🔥🌟
Gunn clappa 1 2 an 3. I am Jamaican born and raised but this is what i listen to growing up and even now when I'm rolling around the island. I can't listen thst mumble rap.
I have tuned myself out, don’t even know what the f mumble rap is, nor care to find out. What Is the meaning of rap if you can’t understand it?! Boom bap was and is best part of the hip hop. When nobody listens after a moment and forgotten, ish must be a garbage. This is still being played and appreciated, a very definition of a classic.
Back then, as soon as I saw Will Smith come out with that man and black garbage I knew the world of music had fully been bought out and it was pretty much all downhill ever since.
I’m Duck Down staff even when I’m by myself I’m Boot Camp Clik even when I’m by myself I’m Fab 5 even when I’m by myself I’m O.G.C. even when I’m by myself
Man... just pure FIRE.. BCC was before their time.. just the lyrical fire from all the members of boot camp so glad I grew up in the 90 now best era hands down for rap!
@@umidenathan No question!! Sean price, buck, rock starang, on and on and on.. just like all 9 members of the Wu.. the camp , oh man! Just the metaphoric lyrics, the word play.. I wish they got more appreciation... many heads don't know Tupac was part of Bootcamp click!
I’m so glad I’m from the Ny . I’m 54 from the Bronx and I saw and heard the real and essential Hip Hop . Say what ya want about us Ny Cats , but we set the blue print and to be honest no one could match . They change the game and sound . But this is Hip Hoo and its origin is the NYc . Please pay homage.
Wake ya punk ass up! Bought this album back when it came out. I was 15 and bumped it non stop. Later that year I was visitin my Aunt's place jus outside Detroit and I awoke to an air raid siren, sounded jus like it did on the track. Tornado was in the area. Bugged me out. Think of it every time I hear this classic piece of Boot Camp magic. Thanks for this and props for all these dope posts Bro. Keep on. Peace.
well i agree this album is def in my top 10, but it wasnt ahead of it's time, this was late in the era of old school hiphop. However it did bring back the old school early 90's sound between all these new ass beats coming up n the late 90's
@@samuelz2214 lol and yet when I listen to it today it’s better than most of that new mumble rap but I’m also 50 and grew up with Run DMC, LL, KRS one and Big daddy Kane so I’m loving the old shit
I did not sleep on this back when... followed all Duck Down religiously when they were hot. BCC, Heltah and the OGC were all so damn good. This Ultra conscious music is almost the opposite of hip hop today.
2022. This album stands the test of time. You want braggadocio Rap, these dudes had it in spades. This album is unreal. I’m 42 and I still eff with these dudes.
I try to limit my playing hurricane Starang and Danjer to 4 times a week but can't. The best and lyrics draw me back daily. Run from OGC and get caught by Heltah Skeltah. Calm yourself ain't no need for panicking, alah got our backs...
My first approach to rap was through BCC my two first albums were Nocturnal of Heltah Skeltah and Da Storm of OGC, both are in my top 5 after 20 years of love for rap.
2:09 ..ohh yeah, dats my part of the video ;) me, i love my hip hop dark... Louieville Sluggah's style and voice always made him my favorite gunn clappa :)

Starang is one of the most underrated MCs ever!!! Not even a debate

If hip hop rewarded the best emcees with monetary gains, Starang would have Will Smith money. The swagger on this song is off the charts.

very, very few people who sound as good on a beat as Starang
