This may sound like blasphemy but I might have listened to this album more than any single Gangstarr album. MOP, EPMD, Black Moon, Mobb Deep and Group Home showed me how dope two MCs could be. Premiers beats on the Living Proof album are insane, Plus some appearances of GURU and Jeru The Damaja! Definetly one of the legendary albums of that Era.
Fam, don't get me started. Not a single song got skipped... Maybe the Guru feature, as it was very basic. Other than that , absolute classic. Had it on tape back in the days...
" Bring the fake to reality and " MAKE THEM PAY".... CLASSIC. Both of their album's was cold as hell. With Lil Dap, and Nutcracker vocals over D.J Premier's production they couldn't miss. Say " WORD".
Grabbed this 12 inch vinyl yesterday. Reminds me of middle school. The vendor was like "I don't know this tune." I'm like "bruh, how old are you?" Dude says he was born in 1998. Well that explained it 🤦🏾♀️ I encouraged young blood to look up the track, 'cause it's pure gold.
I bump this everyday. Rock wit da real hip hop. Young ones back then even knew that you got to be bout letting mc's hear what you saying. If not you ain't saying Sh*t! 💎
When I listen to Dap, I can hear Kool G Rap. When I listen to Melachi, I can hear Guru. Primo is a hypnotist that puts you in a trance with beats. This is real hip hop.
This group should of blew up? Group Home was a hard azz group wit' mad flow! They were nice! D.J. Premier, this was a classic! Listen to that knock? Straight 8! Goddamm! Nuff Said!
Hey bro I have been banging this since I was 14 group home are so underrated fr I am from Scotland Edinburgh I am turning 21 this year I will never get bored of this love from Scotland 🏴 !!!!
Awesome to read. Been bumping this shit since 1995 and I’m 44 now. Real Hip Hop. Straight fire. Lyrics that go for the jugular and beats that shatter your Fukin eardrums. Premo is god.
Was in the US Army stationed in Germany from 1995 to 1997 and deployed to Bosnia from January to October 1996. We were 19…I’m from Detroit and my homie was from Bronx, NY…we played this along with Nas “It Was Written” Naughty’s “Poverty Paradise,” Mobb Deep’s “Infamous,” Wu’s “36 Chambers,” Raekwon’s “Purple Tape,” and every other legendary rap joints from that time….towards the end of our deployment my guy put me on to this cat named Jay-Z who just released a CD called “Reasonable Doubt.”
I bought this album in 96. I'm 44 now and I'm still bumpin it..
.I'll never stop listening to east coast legends!
Born 95 White boy from Finland. Bumpin all 80's 90's hiphop.

Nah they wasn't nice on the mic.. The beats was what made this
@@blaqdiemenz the beat is what makes these rappers music sell today. it definatly not off of lyrics.

Yeah Preemo's beats are the aftermath of a one megaton nuclear explosion!
Premier is the undisputed goat
