In the past, she participated to 8 contests, 5 for violin and 3 for piano, and won them all ... (hmm, anybody else?!). But she surely also deserves the "Nobel price in Music".
I think it's just the intensity of her gaze at her violin that makes her appear machine-like to you. Nobody would ever be able to play like that without enjoying it, nor would they spend the effort practicing copious hours daily to reach that level.
Ysaye's theme, that follows through the whole second sonata takes shape so tangibly here, I could cry. I do not know what mistakes Mr. Romagnoly (below) is talking about. I have not heard any. Julia will, undoubtedly, be named among the mot distinguished musicians of this century.
Are you a violinist? A good violinist? Julia's performance is impeccable. They say that a critic is someone who tells a performer how they would act in his or her place - if they had the skill.
Alexander Nemtsev can you hear, do you have a good ear, a good personality, a good interpretation? you act like people can;'t see for themselves because they need to be told. and being told is only decided without causal measurement…listen again, you are a nob.
its not impeccable. like i stated over sensitively, (because i'm a rather big fan of hers) she appears to attack too hard, and the bow is what isn't producing, probably bow hair tension...
sus dedos son tentaculos q se agarran al violin increible arco en si Julia Fischer!!!!! es una virtuosa al mejor estilo - pianista- violinista .ademas ella se rei y contagia es un amor
@SheikhTaqiyyameister It's an encore. Of course she's doing this for someone else - the concert is over. The audience wants to hear more . . . A great deal of doubt always goes into the common perspective of a master - especially when that master is this young woman.
I agree with those who say this is dry, mechanical, soul-less playing. Technically incredibly assured but musically it seems meaningless to me. I have a privately-made recording of Antonia Brosa playing this sonata and it couldn't be more different; it's so beautiful, personal and extremely moving to hear.
as a Charpentier, I am particularly spell-bound when I am out-Art'd by a German. just saying. Max Planck, I see you homie. yo, we've infilrated your house. no, wait maybe youve infiltrated ours, idk anymore. Regardless!!! we wont be out-Art'd by no quick fingered facist here in the Charpentier household. also if anyone cares, this is "old fashioned" music to "skeet" to par excellence.
how this has anything to do with my search: "BBC. Monte Don's DIY Portable Compost Toilet" I'll never understand. but seriously, how hard is this to play? if someone could answer me soon then I wouldnt have to keep alienating the Indian highschools in my neighborhood Kroger parking lot.

I was going to write the same thing!!! It is crazyyyy!!! How can she do that, it is amazing...

Amazing, blood moving music and performance.
It is such a short piece, yet Julia places so much colour, tone and feeling into this composition. Wonderful to listen to. Thanks for sharing this.
Fantastisch !! - Wonderful interpretation 🙂👏👏👏

Alexander Nemtsev Talkinga bout mistakes: "most", not "mot"... :-). Agree about Julia Fischer.
not really mistakes. she appears to push her bow too far asking for more and you can hear the rattle. maybe she needed more hair tension.
