For joining rails I leave the bottom totally loose and do the top side first. I use a straight edge on the main rib that guides the saw. Tighten it then flip the guide rail over then snug up the 4 screws in the bottom connector.

very nicely done, thanks. I have one issue that bugs me about this saw. Everything you said is right on target, but it seems odd to me that you can't just depend on the depth scale to get the right cut. My TS75 has an imperial scale for depth, but it is never right. I have to set the depth as you illustrated and that works fine, but why, if it is a track saw, configured to be on a track, can it not be configured so that you just dial in the depth of cut and run with it? The Festool people seem to get so much right that this seems incongruous to me. We know that the track is 5MM in depth and since this saw is not designed to be used off of the track, you would think they would have factored that in so the depth scale would actually be useful. Thanks for your video, well done.

You have to add the thickness of the track. Not a big deal

First world problems. Dude can’t add 5 to whatever depth he wants. 😂😂😂

@@Benmeglei1 yeah, Ben I can, and I do- but when you buy a tool in that price range you expect it to do what it is supposed to do. That’s obviously what I was saying. Too bad you missed the point.

Great job on the video! The only thing I would suggest is eye protection. I know 2 different people who lost their eyesight because of this.
