【NEOGEO】ザキングオブファイターズ'96/THE KING OF FIGHTERS'96/レトロゲームツー OP Play Introduceです。
本作は、1996年に登場しました。当時のNEOGEOの人気ゲームのキャラクターを一同に会した対戦格闘ゲームの第3弾です。3人一組のチームから選択し、勝ち進んでいきます。今作からシステム面んの大幅な変更が施されました。攻撃避けが一部のキャラクター限定の使用になったり、飛び道具が飛び道具でなくなったりと、対戦での戦略や戦術面で大幅な変更を余儀なくされてしまいました。しかしながら、ステージやキャラクターの必殺技等の演出面が強化しています。残り体力の僅かな時に発動できる超必殺技をゲージMAX状態で発動するとさらに強力な超必殺技になったり等うれしい要素の追加変更もあります。餓狼伝説や龍虎の拳のボスキャラクターチームの登場等も見どころの一つです。

There are also some exciting changes, such as a super move that can be activated when your remaining health is low, but when activated with the gauge at max, it becomes an even more powerful super move. The appearance of the boss character teams from Fatal Fury and Fist of Dragons and Tigers is also one of the highlights.
