For anyone saying he overreacted, look closely to the cable behind. He just tripped over it.
He also pretty badly twisted his ankle when landing
I thought the same,but then I found the cable.
Aside of that, it's better to go with the motion rather than resisting the impact, that will only make it worse.

@@este_marcohmm… having to wear all that gear from start to finish would definitely make me lose 3 liters of body water…. Which is not an accurate metric since drivers have a water source to stay hydrated during the race

@@GrillerRohde Pause the video at about 0:08 . The handle of the jack is propelled upwards, hitting the guy in the chest, or even higher, close to his collarbone. You can't see it from the first angle, but you can from the onboard. My point is that it would have hurt, so he definitely wasn't acting, and he would have probably fallen whether there was a cable/cord/pipeline to trip him or not.

Kimi at ferrari couple years back, leaving the pitstop to earlie while one of the members was still in the way. How fast that leg snapped was insane. really showed the danger those guys too are operating in. Allso the guys of the teams that are next to the accelerating cars holding those cables, when a driver leaves the pitstop, its always superclose when they ride by them.
