- The Nuzlocke Challenge is a set of rules intended to create a higher level of difficulty while playing the Pokémon games. Many challengers feel that the rules also serve the purpose of encouraging the use of Pokémon the player would not normally choose, and promoting closer bonds with the player's Pokémon. The rules are not an in-game function, but are self-imposed on the part of the player, and thus subject to variation.

I’ve said this to another commenter but I feel like skyrat may have some pretty good ivs because even as a Pidove it was able to steamroll through most Pokémon he went up against lol

@@sonoaf I don’t know, IVs are always a raffle. Could be great, could be decent, could be bad. That’s why I said I have a hunch that Skyrat has decent IVs. DON’T know for sure but it’s a hunch. But I’m certain she does
@@sonoaf Unless there is a setting for it in the randomizer, wild pokemon always have random IVs from 0 to 31.

Do you know how to play Pokemon on your pc? Been wanting to play a lot of the old pokemon games and wanting to do this challange
just look up pokemon emulator or something@@asennia.
Citra 3ds for the 3ds pokemon games, DeSmuME for the 2ds games. For roms reddit r/roms has some good threads on where to get the roms. Installing is super simple, just install the emulator and the rom ( Don't download the Myrient roms those for some reason didn't work for me ) when you open the emulator it should have a file tab, press that and open rom and where ever you put your rom just click that and it should open the game. You also have to keybind your stuff which is under config, I use a switch pro controller and it works but other controllers should work fine, can also use a keyboard. As for the older pokemon games before the 2ds I'm not 100% sure on how to emulate those @@asennia.

people complaining about potions like he couldnt just walk back each time he took damage to heal, most of these rules are arbitary anyways
To be fair, it does make a lot of challenging fights trivial. Normally, it’s fine to use potions and other items outside of battle, but not during battle (outside of held items).
However, people should play however they want, chat was definitely being cringe about it at first. He obviously isn’t very familiar with Pokémon so it’s fine that he makes it easier for himself how he sees fit, he definitely would have died by the first gym if he wasn’t using potions. Also he refuses to grind his whole party individually, so it’s a little fair.
