Trasmission fault in 4th gear when the gear is down to 4th its showing what is the problem..? And when restarting it is okay bt aftr 2 minutes same issue is coming
Having an issue with my e92 when I turn the car off is only when i get yellow cog light. If i put the key back in and turn the car on and off again the light is gone. Can notice a big difference in power while driving
I have a 2008 328xi 4dr & 1 day it stopped going into reverse then later it stop driving forward so I changed the broken Selector Rod it was broken & all the trans seals & fluid so as I get back into the car it does turn on but when I shift the car it doesn't move & the dash says it's in Park but the shifter still moves? I need help?
Is it the Zf or the Gm transmission because apparently the e90 could have a GM transmission in it for some reason Idk why BMW did that?? But is it true the e90 328i have Gm transmissions or Zf transmission in them??
ok i not sure what it is, can be your stick that got lock or something down there is preventing to engage , so make sure to look around and then let me know, what can you see or any messages you do have on the dashboard, for now check the minute 7:40 on this video and lets see if that is your problem and may will fix it, good luck!

Hi Sir ! Nice video Well doen ! I wonder if you could d help me mine does not show on the cluster in what gear it's in so it don t start Ore turn over and the red transmision fault is on what do you think? Thank u !
Mechatronic Bridge Seal adapter. A BMW may display a Transmission Fault warning message on the iDrive screen due to a cracked adapter BMW Mechatronic adapter (Part #: 0501 215 783 01), also known as trans seal grommet, for the mechatronic valve body. Under normal conditions, the grommet allows the fluid to flow from the transmission to the mechatronic valve body without any fluid loss. This allows transmission fluid to make it to the mechatronic without any pressure loss, allowing normal gear shifting. The grommet or the plastic adapter can crack over time, which allows the fluid to leak at this port. When this happens, the fluid pressure at the mechatronic valve body is reduced. Because the fluid pressure is reduced, the valve body's solenoids cannot open and close properly, which triggers the transmission fault or erratic shifting. This part is easy to replace and comes in plastic or aluminum. The OEM part sold at BMW is usually plastic, but upgraded aluminum adapters can be purchased online and last longer than the plastic version. This problem is common on these BMW transmissions: 6HP26, 6HP28, and 6HP32. Aluminum Part Number SFC-MA-001 is available. Another indicator that this part is broken is that you will typically get the Transmission Fault popup as you move the shifter from drive to reverse. Most affected by this problem: 2001 2008 BMW E65/E66 7 Series 2004 2006 BMW E53 X5 V8 2003 2010 BMW E60 5 Series 2005 2011 BMW E90 3 Series 2003 2010 BMW E63/E64 6 Series 2007 2013 BMW E70 X5 Except 4.0d 2008 2012 BMW F01/02 7 Series (except 760i/Li and Hybrid 7 i hope this information helps... i will keep looking for more info for any case.
Hi Check the wiring harness in the gearbox. Check for broken wires in the gearbox. Get some alcohol or MAF sensor cleaner. The electrical tape can get messy.
@@simplelangperorock you wore clause , it was the ecu inside the transmision that got a short en was destroid . Ik put a second hand en coded it and drive perfect .. i mest it up when i exedently put 12 volts on a canbus wire 5V 🤧
? i have 07 328 kind of same situation however mine says its stuck in drive on the dash but on the shifter i can move it i can't get it to go into park on the dash i unhooked the shifter cable and physically pushed it into park and still nothing any suggestion? I pulled all the fuses and checked those as well.
Try to reset the computer: Turn your ignition key to the accessory position when the lights and radio come on (before starting the car). Press and hold the "Trip" button on the instrument panel until the red light comes on. Press the "Trip" button a second time and hold until "Reset" appears and let me know if that work...
Or might be a bad contact in the Range switch you may try moving the shiftier from top to bottom and back again several times to see if it scrapes in a better contact... the inside contacts can get dunked up and create poor or no contacts to give a proper signal to what gear you selected.
I was doing a transmission solenoid replacement and I put everything back together and now all my gears are switch. The car rn is parked but on the cluster it says it’s in D
Yes should work but you need to remove the panel down, that is locate it around the center of the car to have access to the transmission box or the transmission cable
Thank you for taking the time to record this helpful video. Muchas gracias!

Where is that located?
Will this work on 2008 335xi? Thank you
Yes should work but you need to remove the panel down, that is locate it around the center of the car to have access to the transmission box or the transmission cable
Great work well explained👍
Also the car will not turn on. There’s no crank or anything and the car dose have power
yeap because went to safe mode
