Ok, so I gave this a try and by no means a pastry chef...and succeeded! Read if you're interested in how.
First, I prepared the marshmallows as instructed and messed up by pouring the sugar on top of the melted marshmallows, instead of the other way around. Made for a tough journey, but got it to work after much effort (and without the dough hook, but by hand).
I wrapped it in plastic to rest a while and planned to continue with the color later in the day. I tried to peel it open, and it was completely stuck to the plastic wrap and I almost threw it away...but didn't.
The next morning, I tried opening it again for another attempt, and it peeled off easily! Coloring portions went flawless and it rolled out easily into different thicknesses (base cover thicker than the very thin decorative pieces). My step-son is going to love his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cupcakes!
For a beginner, or someone like me who doesn't prepare a lot of sweets, I suggest planning on doing this in 2 day steps. I seriously thought it was a time consuming wasted effort, but the next day, it was set perfectly! Don't give up on this one, just be patient with it.
Flavor? Tastes just like marshmallows...a treat I know most kids like. I will make this again!

I think this is better than the other type of fondant most of the pastry chefs/bakers commonly use. Since marshmallow have that not so sweet but satisfying taste. I just don't know if both fondants have the same texture 😅

Ciao. Come mai ? Può essere che sia stata la crema con cui ho ricoperta la torta? Ho usato una crema al mascarpone, quella al burro non mi piace.

WHY would anyone want that on their cake when you can have this tasty version? Only other thing I wonder about is getting the dusting of powdered sugar off your creations.
