Not supposed to reuse those stretch bolts. Alternator will fall off when this bolt heads snap. Also you don’t give the torque values or specs for the alternator bolts. You can’t just tighten them to snug. Had to be specific torque for stretch bolts.
I was looking on rockauto to buy a new one but it asks with rear A/C And without is there a different mine is fully loaded electric lifr gate and all that on my E46 wagon they made 2 alternators for it please help with any info
It shouldn’t be loose. You’ll have to double check with a diagram. Make sure it’s on right. Sometimes it slips while working on it and when you put it back it’s not on correctly so just make sure it’s on all the right wheels. You should be able to google it.

Taking out the fan will give more space to work.

After replacing, car turns over but won’t start. Replaced fuel pump relay switch and that didn’t work either.
Any updates?
Have you checked the fuel pump itself? Also be sure all grounds are connected and spark is good at coils and plugs
180 amp w/o 4-zone climate control and w/o adaptive drive.
