My Syx has been keeping with on the speedball field with ease. Clean and lube after every use like the manual says and you can easily keep up. I just bought a $1500+ Dye m3+ and the trigger out of the box is total ass compared to the Syx. Only issue with the Syx is you can’t really see the LCD during the day in sunlight.
Syx hands down. The poppit system on the Syx hasn't changed a lot because it works - just like the system used in the PE guns hasn't changed much. If it ain't broke. don't fix it!!
my honest opinion is companies are just straight up scamming us at this point... theres marginal improvements of shot quality between a 400 dollar gun and a 1000 dollar gun.. all it comes down to is quality of life features like tool-less removal and easier maintenance .. back when i started paintballing over 17 years ago .. 1000 dollars got you not just a great gun but also a full barrel kit and planet eclipse used to do this also . i feel any gun that is over 700 dollars should come with a full barrel kit .. when you buy either guns that you see above you are in most cases not going to be shooting the barrel that came with the gun and that is just shitty for companies to do. if you are proud of your product you should want a player to shoot with your product not have to go out and buy someones elses proprietary systems because your 700-900 dollar gun wasnt complete out of the box
I own a syx and it looks pretty good to me. As far as the grip goes thats how grips should be with a place for your fingers to rest and not slip. It’s a super light gun. There is no gap between the hopper and the neck. Also it shoots very smoothly. its tool-less. The trigger is also adjustable on the syx. Yes the trigger is loud but when your shooting the gun anyway it doesn’t really matter 😂 every one who shoots my syx is pretty happy with how it shoots and feels.
I like how there are digs towards ANS Gear and as much as I believe in supporting your local PB Shop's, when you can save anywhere from a couple of hundred of dollars at ANS GEAR, I'll do it then my local store. Paintball is expensive.
Bought a 2015 pga barracks grey proto rail for 250 with a tech T bolt, dye .688 back, and a upgraded asa with all the extras new untouched. Guy says it shoots really smooth I’m hyped
You can't really compare the 2 because the dye dsr is more of a high end gun where the empire syx is more of mid range gun, thats why is more expensive. Thats just my opinion
I’ve had two empire markers and both died and had to be sent in for service within a year. My wife’s solenoid on her mini gs is shot and they won’t let me send it in unless I pay (both guns were bought when the lifetime warranty was a thing). I’ll never buy another empire marker. Neither my 3.5 or my wife’s 160R have gone down ONCE. Buy PE and you won’t regret it.
The empire noids are pretty cheap and super easy to change on your own. Noids usually aren't covered because they're not made by the company. I think they run about 35 dollars though. Pop the grip frame off, unplug the old noid and unscrew it by hand. Screw the new one in then plug it in. Pop the grip frame back on. Done.
I just picked up a Syx and ran it in a local big game. Feels great, very easy to use, shoots like butter. Unfair to compare against a $900 gun, but honestly the PE 170R beats them both, just can’t find any of the 170Rs
Shot quality on the 170R isn't anywhere near as good. The gtek cores are efficient and low maintenance but they're also kind of clanky. I'm not a fan. DSR once broken in is probably more efficient and smoother.
I have a Syx & a 170R. Both are good, but for me the Syx is better hands down - smoother shot; better ergonomics (for me); better board. Cant go wrong with either of them.
yeah bro these kids are nazis for sure, they talk about the logo in an older video and they have to blur about a bunch of it. pretty sure they smoke meth too but just one guys opinion
Love Lonewolf paintball and ANSgear I buy form both as long as you have the item I want and at a reasonable price I don't care end of the day its my wallet and I want the best prices I can get.
Between thr two, id pick the DSR. The Syx is old technology with minor differences between the base axe. Between Poppet and Spool it's not really a comparison of "smoothness" as much as it is of shot quality. Being said, I have always prefered poppets because of the tunability to get the perfect shot quality. Spools feel too squishy to me which in my opinion, is not desirable at all.
Currently. Ans was selling them much cheaper a few months ago if I recall. I don't blame them for being super annoyed with ans. Those guys violate MAP, the manufacturers allow it, so the local guys get boned by both parties. It's stupid. When that happens the mfg's should allow retailers to match if they want during ans promotional periods. It's a good thing for consumers, but the guys really shouldn't be mad at ans. They should be mad at retarded mfg policies that are preferential to their competitors.
Because it was rushed through R&D and had paint breakage issues. Bolt speed was too high and the eye pipe caused small paint to get clipped. Just like the M3S... You can call it upgrade-ability, but really a 900 dollar gun should have came with all of these "upgrades".
@@QTPaintball the updated parts fix most of those issues. But when the other upgraded parts help it compete with high end markers it's not a bad trade off. Biggest complaint on a fully upgraded DSR is ergonomics which is just preference.
It's kind of odd to see these two guns put against each other. Kind of like a runner up match to see who comes in second place since neither one can stand up to the new Gtek.
I’ve shot both guns and the syx seems a little difficult to start the ramp , but easier to hold it . The Dsr is difficult at starting to ramp but easy to keep it going while every shot feels smooth and controlled . While the syx feels a little ruggid when shooting . I would choose the DSR over the syx
Tony you need someone else doing these videos with you and not someone that slander other companies and people it is really annoying when and hard to watch for a whole video
That is hands down the ugliest gun I have ever seen Dye make. The difference in performance between the two is so little I would get the Syx cause it actually has some shaoe. It doesn't look like an Ion with the plastic body off like the dsr does. Plus the inline poppet system is simple and reliable. Why fix it if its not broke? Much better than replacing15 o rings because one is leaking.
Feel like you guys really didn't take this seriously. For someone like myself thats trying to decide witch marker to get kinda makes it hard to decide when you guys are just making jokes and just being stupid not taking it seriously makes me just want to take my business elsewhere like defcon or ans maybe next time take it seriously.
i play almoste evry weekend Woodsball and i see so much Dye Guns Fail saw so much broken eyepipes ,and ppl testing all O Rings cause leaks so i bouth myself a empire Syx ,tbh i prefer i like the classic Look and grip of the Axe so yeah the syx is kinda awkward but i got the Redline Board the Empire Axe Internals work good there isnt much what coud fail you on the field so you don`t have so much troubelshooting like on a DYE
syx is way overpriced and so are axes... they have been around for so long with minimal improvements and tweaks .. the syx is basically a cosmetic upgrade to a century old platform and it doesnt justify a 300 dollar price hike. the DSR on the other hand is what a gun looks like when you take high end gun features and make it as cheap as possible . its probably one of the ugliest guns dye ever made in the past 15 years .. completely lacking dye charisma but the shot quality is there and became a good competitor to the XLS platform in those regards which is exactly what dye was aiming for in the market
The special ed kid with his hat on backwards gets on my nerves

Dude that was a hidden dig at Tony's old lady, I missed that the first time I saw this video. Damn Jake is coming off like a Savage
Damn guys, love watching your videos.
Empire been winning championship buddy 😂 regardless I love dye there both awesome guns
Empire is all you need.. dye is everything you want....
Planet eclipse is a dream....
@@nochillwhale4399 The best.My only gripe with them is bringing out a new marker every week .

After a year how is it? Is it reliable?
Andrew Perez yeah I love the gun man haven’t had a any issues with it.
@Turk Its worth it man, to me any way I am happy with my purchase of the syx and not disappointed at all

Some of the cheap stuff is pretty cool....jus sayin..
Am I the only one that thought tony's barrel actually looked good?

For the $200 extra you can get an entire freak carbon XL kit or an acculock kit and a rad headband
I’m going to a empire 6
Tony hates dye in every video
Y'all should do a one on one shooting test then switch guns. And repeat
I own the syx but the dsr is really smooth
Guy in middle looks like a cool cailou.😂😂😂
Damn doing nick dirty 😂🤷♂️
No other option it’s just like to good to be true.
They should’ve kept going with the vanquish platform instead of trying to make the axe high end

@Richard HART not at all. The Matrix series markers used the Fuse bolt for years, which is entirely different than the Arc bolt in the DSR
For the talking points that are being debated, I'd save the couple hundo
I own both and dsr is way better

Exactly. And the Syx is only 559. I LOVE invert/axe guns. So simple and compact. I never buy guns that could ever require a mechanic.

Cool
i think tony has crush on jake ALOT tension in the air when they argue
I love empire and have owned many markers but for sure the DSR wins.
Is it me or does the guy in the middle look like the guy in powder the movie
