Vintage perfumes are so fun, aren't they?! I appreciate all the styles but finding a good vintage is like finding a treasure. Thanks for this list. Really enjoy your channel.
My first real “big girl” fragrance gift was a set of scented ballpoint pens (from my parents) when I was all of 6 or 7 years old and the pens were scented “Arpege” and “My Sin” I think also from Lanvin. I cherished them forever….until I lost them like an irresponsible teen. 😁I would love to sniff Arpege again…
I blind bought the Diva Pepite flanker for $50 from the Chemist Warehouse and I was so pleasantly surprised! I love it! For me it's a very rosey 80's Coco smell and contains genuine oakmoss so has that gorgeous billowy effect. Thanks for sharing, Cherie xx
You got me interested in Arpege! I would never dare to blind buy. I can change my mind so much about my samples that a blind buy would probably end up being a regret.
Loving the serene into. Cherie could never be camera unready! And I love how you have so many beautiful classics. I filmed my best blind buys a few days ago ! We’re all in synch. ❤️
Haha that's how I say Dzing! too 🤣 It's obligatory I feel. Now all we need is for SL to make Dzong! Then it'll be Dzing Dzong! Opportunity at the door.
I hope you don't mind that as a new sub, I am going through your back catalogue of videos ;) . Enjoying your unique view and descriptives (especially re: Mr Lutens Fille de Joie ;)) . Best blind buys as a novice are (1) Eaudemoiselle de Givenchy Absolu d'Oranger EDP & (2) Annick Goutal's Rose Pompon EDP, both found at a discount retailer on separate occasions. What makes the Givenchy unique is that this was a limited release for the Middle Eastern market (and I am in N America). Felt like I won the lottery on both !
My latest blind buy love is Christian Lacroix EDP. I think I wore it 3 days in a row, which is unheard of for me, lol. I smelled New Look a while ago and I think I liked it, but want to smell it again! Great video!
Beautiful video! If I did these point of view style videos I would definitely get more done lol. They are so pretty too. It’s crazy when people compare a style of filming to one person. These filming forms have been around forever
Love vintage Arpege! What a beauty! I like some animalic scents. Amouage Beloved for one. 💕 I also really enjoy a few of Francesca Bianchi's lineup and Bengale Rouge is gorgeous! A love at first sniff for me. I recently purchased Panthea Iris, another love at first sniff. I would never have heard of it except for your video. We seems to share some similarity in what we like. I am currently looking around for a good deal on Shunkoin. It has the best tonka note that I have experienced and I do not typically like tonka notes. 😊 I had a decant of Chypre 1942. I'm not sure why I didn't buy it? Probably too many shiny things and I was new to fragrance at that time. I also love Dragon Boat by TRNP. I heard you mention it in your live with Smurfygirly. Teone generously sent me a solid with an order. It is really pretty. I think that I'll place an order for it next spring. Just thought I'd mention that I agree that it is lovely. This was very enjoyable! Thank you Cherie!
Diva was composed by Jaques Polge. I love it and only recently found out who created it. I also bought L’Orpheline and like it very much. I bought it for a great price too. I don’t understand all the hate it gets. That 1942 sounds great. I want it.
I’d say I’ve had more failures than successes - which is why I try to avoid it wherever possible these days as I’m sure I’m getting more and more picky! 😂
Yay I spy Dioramor! Also that Diva bottle is gorgeous! Btw Lanvin is quite awkward to pronounce but it’s “Lohn-vauhn” with that typical French way of pronouncing “n” 🤣 I might steer clear of Dioramour. If it’s cold it’ll not be what I was hoping for. Can you suggest any comforting iris scents? A lot of iris scents smell like sawdust on me - just very dry and cold. I want a cosy musky powdery iris!
I'm on the look-out for an Absolute Pour le Soir substitute since it has been discontinued. Would Bengale Rouge be it? To me, APlS is a sweet, raunchy amber that smelt a bit like cat and dog fur. How does Bengale compare?
I think APLS is more “boudoir-ish” and even more animalic. I don’t think they are that similar as I also get a “rouge” bent from APLS that I don’t get from Bengale Rouge
@@TheTopNote I might get a sample, from LKNU, and if BR doesn't satisfy, then I shall organise a petition to persuade Francis Kurkdjian to order one last batch of APlS! 🤪
@@lolanifenring2692 I can send you a sample if you want to have a little sniff? I just wore it this morning and getting a bit of smoky leather - it’s really beautiful and cosy but APLS is sexy on another level
@@TheTopNote That's considerate and giving of u, but I'll just get it from LKNU instead, as well as some more samples of perfumes from their overwhelming range of niche brands

It’s such a bargain!
It was created by Jacques Polge, renowned Chanel perfumer, creator od Coco as well
Happy Weekend, Cherie! Love your purchases! Great video!😊
Arpège 🤤. Thanks for the shoutout Cherie! Welp, I guess it’s time to start hoarding Dzing! -Chris
I reckon!!
You got me interested in Arpege!
I would never dare to blind buy. I can change my mind so much about my samples that a blind buy would probably end up being a regret.
Haha you are smarter than me!
Beautiful presentation. I would love to try the Lutens. Wouldn't hesitate to blind buy it.
Loving the serene into. Cherie could never be camera unready! And I love how you have so many beautiful classics. I filmed my best blind buys a few days ago ! We’re all in synch. ❤️
Haha awesome! I’ll keep an eye out for it! 😃

I missed this comment! Although I have since responded to others - thank you and glad you are here! 🤗
Great blind buys, always a frisson of excitement when you get them. Part of the many joys of this hobby. Lovely vid, albeit ' Rich Mitch style' 😆

Oooh THAT good?! Perhaps I should try and track it down. Thanks Jim!

Oh haha I know I just associated with Ilythia Marie because it was her video idea that I stole 🤪
Loved this video, Cherie! 🌹
Thank you Sam! 💞

Thank you for your support! Panthea Iris is so special 💞
Classic & timeless gems such as arpege are amazing! The vintage version was even more catchy👌great video Cherie👍 Cheerio dear🥂😘

1942 is terrific. Yes! I have been wearing L’orpheline a bit this past week and I love it!
This is a lovely format!
oh! another Lutens addition !!! 😍
I know lol, it’s neverending!
Blind buys are fun, I've had mostly success! A few dismal failures too! But now doing far less of it these days, getting wiser in my old age😁

Still worth trying though! I don’t want to sound like a broken record, but I think you need to try Panthea Iris 🤪
Nice pick ups

Man, I’ve been wanting to try Sarah Horowitz for a while
I’ve been using Arpege since the 70s….timeless
It sure is!
Hello on Saturday! Have a good day!
Happy Saturday! 💞
Hi Cherie, what site did you get the Nobile 1942 from please?
The Base Note in Perth :)
Is the Arpege a new buy or old stock? I thought the new bottle is black?
It’s a vintage bottle. The current version is in a black bottle :)
I love bling buying… too much 😂🌸🌸
😂
Come on…..you are gorgeous no matter what 🥰
Miss seeing your pretty face, thanks for posting.
Rich Mitch style!
