not knowing where to drop this comment and not wanting to be a know it all i still want to advise u on mistakes i made so i drop it right here in annunrelated video.
this one is concerning grounding the brake magnet.
i had never ending troubles with grounding until i learned to ground to the frame and the frame to the tow vehicle via a very solid connection.
The frame is a much more reliable conduit for ground than are various wire circuitry .
everything in the house can be thus grounded to a common earth, and that directly to a tow vehicle, preferably its frame. its a simple thing to add a larger grounding wire from battery to truck frame to complete the connection. never hurts to ground your alternator case to the negative post or to the same place you ground your battery to your truck frame.
i used a welding lead connector with solid mount either end between truck and trailer and still do on my utility trailers. i pull a fiver now so grounding is a different story.
poor grounds will make you crazy with frustration with your brakes with your lights, with inadequate or overheating wires.
i use only marine grade wire. its not aluminum and its durable. if you want really to nail it you can go to no better source than CE auto electric supply. absolutely the top shelf.
