- Our first EV (Electric Vehicle)! And oh has the Ioniq 5 opened my eyes to the advantages of EVs! It's a such a good daily driver. Comfortable, the cabin is a nice place to be in, it's easy and fun to drive, and it doesn't take much electricity to run!
Here's a spoiler, it only costs at most 2.34php per Kilometer! And this was computed with the worst possible conditions, and with electricity at 13php/kWh(which was rounded up)! We used the Ioniq 5 for 1 whole day of errand running and we clocked 2.08php/kWh even if we got stuck in Makati rush hour traffic!

Horsepower in this is 228HP from the rear axel mounted motor! 325HP in the Dual motor version. Nice review though. good to see EVs are catching on in rest of Asia also! Clean air FTW! 😊
How is the charging infrastructure in the Philipines btw? Any 250 to 350kW chargers to accommodate the 10-80% charge in 18 min?

This is an incident which happenef in a dealership in Hyundai Csnada which you would think twice in purchasing any EVs.
"This is a Motormouth couple car video discussing the cost to replace the battery in 2022 Hyundai IONIQ 5. A second IONIQ 5 owner in eastern Canada also has a battery protection cover scratched, the owner was also told the battery needed to be replace for more than the cost of a brand new Hyundai IONIQ 5. This is a cautionary tale to not only EV owners and potential owners but also other manufacturers, that these kinds of costs are much more than consumers are expecting to pay. Actually fun fact, EVs are more efficient in heavy traffic bevause the motors run more efficiently are slower speeds. When u drive slower you can get more range. So bagay talaga EVs sa Philippines haha
