The worst part is that the fangame makes you collect the real knife and refuses to let you use burnt pan

What's worse is that you can glitch it so that you stay at an LV of 15 and stay with the burnt pan and the apron, BUT THEY DON'T EVEN WORK!
Fun fact: gold fish can have really good remember sometime for an year!

There's also similar concept in fangame Genocide Asgore where the Attack and Items button are destroyed and needs to be rebuilded (the Mercy button is gone as always).

Merg went through hell playing this but Mystic is so humble he can beat it in a single short and call it easy.
I like to think that in-universe, attacks like that one where it completely tricks you by making the warning box the safe part of the attack are actually crimes and you can get put in prison for it.
