7:45 Why would you not choose in mast furling? Simple, one word: RELIABILITY. When push comes to shove you can always release your halyard and get your main down, even if you have to cut it. Having been stuck with a failing in mast furler in 40 knots, it’s not something I ever want to go through again. It was the only time it ever failed and I have no idea why it failed that time as we never did replicate the problem, but it very nearly cost me my life. KISS principle every time. Keep it simple. But having chartered both, the bunks in the 40.1 are far more comfortable. Especially the 3 cabin version. This is where the extra LOA matters.
We are a Brazilian couple with the dream of sailing around the Caribbean when we retire! Today I consider your channel the best way to learn how to choose a sailboat!! Congratulations to the amazing channel! Marcello and Cris from São Paulo Brazil
Great video again, sorry to hear about RUclips demonetizing you… That is ridiculous. Loved you doing this comparison because these are my two boats… I was leaning more towards the 40.1 because I need a luxurious master and I can’t stand vbirths LOL. After watching your video, you make so many excellent points I think you’ve actually pushed me back to the Oceanis 45. Thanks again for putting these videos together, RUclips is simply a joke at the moment.
Agreed 41 is without a doubt. I will be starting my shopping next spring. Hopefully be on my world tour in the fall. Heading to Philippines from California perhaps with a stop over in Hawaii.
Got to check out Beneteau 40.1 at the Annapolis show and was really disappointed in the little amount of sitting space below. Other than bunks only around the table... Room for about 3. No port side mid bench/berth. Jeanneau wasn't much better.
Awesome channel, I am new to the channel and to the search for a yacht. Love the Oceanis 41. You say you like comparisons, how about the Oceanis 41 and the Island Packet 38, like you a 100K budget? If you have already done this one I apologize and will be searching your library
This poses a true question. When you check into a marina I would like to think they go by paperwork,as in Coast Guard Registration or insurance papers, etc. Am I wrong.? I could be sailing a 30 foot vessel and name it my Fifty-Footer. Wouldn't be the first time size was exaggerated by mankind. But how is the true price of fees determined?
Stop showing people how cool the 41 is. There won't be any left by the time I'm ready to go shopping. 🤨 😄
So true

You are absolutely right. The 41 is hundred time better value

Great video - thanks for this comparison.
They both look to be great but the Oceanis 41 has it on pricing.
I am commenting here for no particular reason!
this is what i have to say about that
Me parece que hay muchos argumentos a favor del Oceanía 41. Gracias por el análisis.
Acabo de vender mi barco y este modelo me puede interesar.
El Oceanis 41 es, con diferencia, mi 40 pies favorito en todo el mercado.

Hands down best channel ever!
thank you

Have not done that one as I prefer the newer more modern vessels, in my humble opinion a far better bang for the buck
Receiving and broadcasting, Oh My.
Stop telling people about this gem until we purchase the 41 first, your driving the prices up haha! I'm shooting for Dec-March :)
Why is there a question, the 41 hands down.
Learning so much from your station.
What if your budget was more like... $500k?
Hello
hello, i am from California. if i wanna buy a sail boat from your area, how do i deal with it?
Use me as a sailing consultant
Show me a 41 for 140k and I will show up with a briefcase of $ in a few hours :D
In the USA at least, they seam to be around 200-250k.
I'll get ya one for that price for a smalll finders fee
@@ChasingLatitudes I am in. Is there a way to PM me?

Why no owners version 2 cabin 2 bed. Seems stupid to me I would never buy one
There is on both
I choose none of them 😅
Don't dock masters look at the logo... see 41 and say, over 40 ft buddy.
@ABC gang I was a DM on an island in Lake Erie and I had owners try to take off feet as we stood there looking at the length written on the hull. :)

Non of them🤔🤔🤔
WTH? How or why are the demonetizing you? You can't get more basic than these vids of yours.
😃👍👏👏👏
Dude! WTF, why wouldn't you compare the 40.1 to the 41.1 ?
Your video makes no sense
Great video !!!!
