The Xbox One X can run 4K, solid 60fps, And has near perfect optomization, whereas the switch can barely even run a poorly optomized DOOM Eternal, and only outsold the Xbox 360. Xbox is Playstations biggest threat because there slight diffrences balance out, like Playstations user friendliness, vs Xboxes more powerfull systems, or Playstations better exclusives vs Xboxes Online system, Nintendo has shit online, crappier user friendliness, okay exslusives, and no power.

I remember going to my grandparents house and seeing (and after which receiving) both a Fairchild Channel F and an original Atari 2600 (with intact games for both). Note: I still have them to this day in near purchase day condition.

History of Videogame consoles/handheld systems that I used to have and/or still have it (1995-present):
1. Sega Genesis (Released: 1988) (This was the very first videogame console that my young brother and I used to have back in August 1995, while we played Sonic the Hedgehog at that time)
2. Sony PlayStation (Released: 1994 (JP), and 1995 (US)) (This is the second videogame console that my young brother and I had back in late 1997 when we played our very first PlayStation videogame, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back)
3. Nintendo Game Boy Color (Released: 1998) (This was the very first handheld system that we had and alongside with it. Our very first anime videogame(s) that we played during our childhood years was Pokémon Red and Blue versions (they both came out for the original Game Boy back in February 27, 1996 until they released Pokémon Yellow version in 1998/'99 for the Nintendo Game Boy Color) on the Nintendo Game Boy Color.
4. Sony PlayStation 2 (Released: 2000) (Got it from early 2002)
5. Microsoft Xbox (Released: 2001) (Got it from late 2002; until the disc tray got broken/snap in half)
6. Nintendo Wii (Released: 2006) (Got it from late 2007)
7. Microsoft Xbox 360 (Released: 2006) (Got it from early 2009)
8. Sony PlayStation 4 (Released: 2013) (Got it from early 2015)
9. Nintendo Switch (Released: 2017) (Recently got it this year in 2021 during the summer)

Just looking at all of the other consoles, it’s utterly insane how Sony released the PlayStation as their first ever console, but was so successful. They also made so many cosmetic, and technological leaps. For example, the DualShock controllers, so stylish, and functional. It’s also cool how Sony stuck with the DualShock design for all of their consoles.
Sony is the undisputed king of gaming consoles, hands down.

@YummyBlocks Xbox is nowhere near Playstation. The PS2 sold 155 million units. PS4 sold 114 Million. PS1 sold 100 million. PS3 sold 87 Million. The highest Xbox console sold 86 million. Xbox can only wish to be the level on Playstation.
Yeah, i feel that too. Although i'm not from that time, comparing playstation's dualshock with anterior controls, the dualshock seems so simple yet functional and understandable.

@@LucDutra92 The big gaming companies and big tech can develop the technology along with VR firms for the video game and entertainment industry. I think that is the best target market for the technology in terms of adaptation.

The first CD game console was the PC Engine with the CD-ROM² add-on, launched in Japan at the end of 1988 with a port of the first Street Fighter.
Also DualShock didn't have force feedback, it had rumble (capability to vibrate) which was a feature popularized earlier on N64 with hit games like Star Fox 64.
Incidentally N64 was also the first mass market console with a pad that had analogue stick to control a character in a 3D space.

My First Video Game Was PS1, It Was Sooo Fun Toh Play Mario And Contra At That Time , I Miss Those Days....🥺
I can tell you some things about the 2nd/3rd generation era that weren't mentioned here. Around 1981-83 there was this huge video game boom/mania going on. Atari had the rights to most of the most popular arcade games of the era, like Pac-Man, Asteroids, Space Invaders. Around this time, their 2600 home system was leading the pack, even though their main competitors, Intellivision and ColecoVision were easily better systems with nicer graphics and better controllers. It was purely the games library that sold the Atari system... such an expansive library it became that I'm certain the Atari 2600 games library was twice as large as the combined Intellivision and ColecoVision libraries. Everybody I knew who had the Atari 2600 had this huge pile of game cartridges. Because of all these previously mentioned factors, Atari messed up BIG TIME when they first released their new Atari 5200 system, disappointing their entire fanbase by being INCOMPATIBLE with the entire expansive Atari 2600 games library! It killed them, and this huge failure was probably the biggest lesson of all time for electronics manufacturers regarding backward compatibility.

These are my favorites : 1. Sony Playstation
Released in the year I was born, I love the design of this console and the color.
2. Playstation 2. The good old days, I remember I cried alot at the mall so my parents could buy me one... and they didn t . Great design, but I like only the fat version (the one in the video)
3. Xbox . I can say I remember something about this one.. I always loved the combination of green and black on the console, and I liked the controllers too.
4.PSP 1000, this is still like a piece of jewerly to me. The design, that menu, the color, everything is so perfect on this one. I STILL LOVE IT.
5. Xbox 360. This white fella brings me lot of good memories, I remember the emotion when I got this console, the first game played on this game was GTA IV, GOLD TIMES.
6. Playstation 3. Well.. never had a chance to get the 2006 version, which in my opinion was the BEST, and still looks perfect. I got the SLIM version... but I love much more the 2006 oldschool version ! :)
7. Playstation 4. I got this console in 2017, and I loved it, the blue light led with the back color match perfectly
8. Playstation 5. I m not a big fan of the design, BUT, this console is really a dream come true. Not to mention the free game Astro, beautiful.
I think it will evolve to this point in 50 years.
I'm playing games as a matter of course now, but I have to thank the developers.
And I'm looking forward to what kind of game will come out in the future

De todos esses consoles apresentados, eu tive alguns , meu primeiro foi um game boy Color , eu lembro que na época ele era bem raro quase ninguém tinha , quando comprei me senti realizado , pois era um dos únicos da minha cidade a ter um console portátil , aproveitei bastante com ele , mas não tive muitos jogos por que eram bem caros e raros de se encontrar, pouco tempo depois eu tive um play 1 , foi outro console que curti bastante também , tinham varios jogos legais e divertidos me diverti bastante com ele , depois eu comprei um game boy advance SP outro console que fiquei bastante empolgado em ter em mãos por que além de ser portátil tinha um gráfico bem bonito e detalhado pra época , mas meu grande desejo era ter um Game Cube , depois de muito tempo eu consegui adquir um usado mas fiquei pouco tempo com ele , e tive só dois jogos pois eram muito difíceis de encontrar , e bem caros também , ai deu um problema no Lazer de cd aí acabei vendendo , aí fiquei um tempo sem comprar vídeo game , depois de muito tempo , eu comprei um Nintendo Switch, foi um dos melhores consoles que já tive achei incrível a jogabilidade dele e a praticidade também por que além de ser um console portátil você pode jogar na TV como console de mesa também, sem dúvidas um dos melhores consoles de todos os tempos e eu já aproveitei bastante com ele , os jogos são top , enfim eu só não tive mais games por falta de grana mesmo mas se fosse rico eu gostaria de ter tido todos , e iria colecionar desde os consoles mais antigos até os atuais de agora , isso seria muito gratificante pra mim , mas pelomenos pude ter alguns , Um forte abraço do Brasil 🇧🇷🎮👾
