😮😮😮 i couldnt keep my mouth closed as i was watching you file down the straps!!! I was like O-M-G!!! She is CRAZY!!!😅😅😅 Im SO PROUD of you too girl after seeing the end result though!!!😂😂😂❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
Lol!! Yes I had a panic attack myself too. I was like omg, what have I done??? I figured it would make an entertaining video even if it didn't work out but I'm glad it did. 😆
Thanks for sharing. Can you do an update with how it holds up a while 6 months to a year from now? I am interested in how well it will hold up. I recently updated the caulking on my bathroom and the product I purchased didn’t last as long as what my builder used. Completely separate issue but I thought about how well products work that are accessible to the everyday consumer vs products accessible to professionals. I have some handles I need to fix up so I am going to try this product.
You did a great job! Well worth it! I will have to do this soon with my Coach tote over 1 year old! The piping close to zipper is coming off! I saw another older 5 year old video from this guy using a little wooden stick, to apply primer, thin coats. It worked amazing. i think we could use a wooden cuticle pusher and it'd work much better! He waited at least 2hrs between coats, he did 3 layers of primer, sanding in-between and 3 layers of colors, also 2hrs wait at least, carefully sanding in-between! 😊❤
That's a great idea using an orange stick. I bought a massive pack of them to do my nails with so I will definitely give that a try next time I need to do a medical procedure to my bag LOL
Cardboard? How the heck did you ever think that purse straps were made of cardboard? You are a crazy person. This is why people shouldn’t just be able to do diy videos when they have no idea what they are talking about. Your straps are leather! Hence the leather glaze you bought. Wow. What a clown.
it's very unfortunate that many of the designer bags earn a high price tag but use cheaper products on things like straps and handles which cause the item to break down much sooner than back in the day. I have a nice Tommy Hilfiger bag that has lasted through years (15) of off and on daily use. But when I lent it to someone they returned it with the straps shredded all along the top just where it sits on the shoulder. The rest of the bag is still literally like new. I don't think this method would work on this because it's the top, not the sides, of the straps that have literally just peeled away. Have you repaired anything like that?
oh boy, that's unfortunate that they returned the bag to you shredded. I have not repaired the top of the handles. Sorry! I think for a bigger job like that, maybe take it to a cobbler to help?
Is this something you would do to fix our bag straps? Let me know!
Hi, do have a link of those things you bought to fix your bag? Thank you.
@@mauiVerba hi! I do, I've linked everything I used in the description!

Absolutely! I will definitely see how it holds up but I'm not worried about it as you can always rinse and repeat with this process.
great job!! I love this bag❤❤❤
I think I did a pretty nice job. I keep showing my bf, look, look!!!
I'm so glad you showed all of this. If i had tried doing this before watching your video I would have been sure that I had messed up. Thank you!

Let me know how it goes!
When did gou use the black repair cream on the strap?
not sure i understand the question
So I want to try this on my Chloe bag. So after filing the strap did you use the glue and then the strap color?
i did not use glue at all. just the strap color!
good job
Thanks!!! It was a great experience!
Where did you buy the kit ?
I have it linked in the description of the video! Amazon
Where can I buy the tools
Links are in my video description box
There was cardboard inside of the strap?
Are you sure it wasn't just the backside of the natural leather?
Your purse is lovely! What kind is it?
It looked like cardboard but honestly I had no idea but it very well could've been. It just shed everywhere. It's a Dior canage tote!

How can start a small business
I saw another video where they applied primer before the black colour. Does your kit include primer and finiser?
The kit I used does not. However it turned out great still!
My Calvin klein send me here it's stressing me not used for long and already peeling
I hope my video helped and it turns out well!

@@Somehowadulting I did find some snap-on leather protectors that cover the area. Too bad I didn't have them on there to begin with.
Why is she not showing her face? This is so bizarre.
I hope I was able to show you something education even without showing my face
I explain here: ruclips.net/video/uI5JjytpN5c/видео.html
No head in the video? What a joke.
Will showing my head explain to you how to fix purse straps?
