Will Mistretta It definitely was. You can see the blueprint is there. Always felt this one deserved a bit more attention at the time. Though I can see why people would pass over it
I really love this game, I have played through it many times. I wish they would make a game like this but update it to be a bit more in depth and a nice graphics bump.
Had a lot of fun playing through this and Knights of the Round on my Switch with the capcom beat em up bundle. Would definitely like to own them both on SNES one day if I see them at a nice price lol.
It's usually clocking in around 80 bucks for just the cart when I see it, which is a bit more than I want to pay for it. Especially now that its on that Capcom bundle.
I have this game for my SNES, and of course I have both volumes of Capcom Classics Collection for the PS2, which has this game, Magic Sword, Knights of the Round, and Captain Commando on the second volume alone. The SNES counterparts (outside of Magic Sword, which is still fairly cheap) the other 3 games are stupidly expensive now.
I really enjoyed it. Something that bugs me about Capcom of that era is that some of the beat em ups have really lackluster backgrounds. That’s it. Otherwise it’s pretty fun, especially the archer
For the longest time, I thought this was Capcom's take on a home version of Tower of Doom and then I found out that it was it's own thing. Feels like the groundwork for Tower of Doom and Shadow Over Mystara was set with King of Dragons though.
I give this one much credit for serving as a dry run for Capcom's two licensed D&D games, which are my pick for the best beat-'em-ups ever made.

James Callahan check out capcom’s D&D games. They’re essentially that.
I loved this game!!! My friend and I would play this all the time!! For years we would just pop this in and rock out!
It’s the king of! dragons, not the king of the! dragons .
Looks like such a fun and beautiful game. I love arcade beat 'em ups. Hey, did you all at Retrovania pick up a Genesis mini?
I did, it’s a pretty nice mini console! All I’ve really put time into is The Wily Wars so far, but it’s a solid collection of Genesis classics
@@jpparmentier9495 Awesome to the max. I am going to get it sometime in late October or November (if it is still available).
I use to rent this game all the time. It was amazing and so damn hard.

@@RetrovaniaNet Sadly gonna be way more than that for me as I'd have to import it. Never came out on PAL systems :(

You can definitely see the blueprint
