At Chan's physical pinnacle...it may be the only fight id actually pay a lot to see. However...even though i love Jackie(Lei Wulong's) style...I'm pretty sure even his best drunken master couldn't phase Lee for long.

Jackie should get 2 points for his stuntwork. Like seriously. He’s a living action hero. His movies are known for high flying stunts and he does them himself.
However I love Jackie Chan as a person more than Bruce Lee, although I didn't watch lots of his movies
But I did watch like Drunken master and snake of the eagle shadow in which he is funny or atleast shown weak or undisciplined at first before training and become strong
🇧🇷 I use to practice my English watching this channel, however I have to mention that I never agreed with any list yours! Bruce Lee created the wheel, there was nothing before him, Jackie Chan is amazing, but Bruce Lee is the father of martial arts movies!
How is Jackie Chan still alive after attaining so many injuries?
The horse talisman

All the talismans
Hes just built different
Because he's Jackie Chan.
Jackie Chan might be an excellent fighter but Bruce Lee was on whole another level. Even Jackie Chan has said that, "I admired him and the way he would talk and he influenced me."

I wouldn't be so sure in fighting, Bruce Lee has proven to be very good in many ocassions, but if you watch Police Story you will realize Jackie is much faster than he is in other movies, not saying Bruce ain't better or worse, just saying that Jackie may not be as far behind as most people think.

Bruce Lee would've turned 80 a few days ago, if he was still alive.
@This Is What Awesome Looks Like Not really. Give Bruce Lee the advanced workout equipment or sports medicine that athletes use today and he’d literally be a Demi-god......

If Bruce Lee was alive, there will be no competition. But still Chan has broken too many bones in his body, and still running wild. He even follows ideals of Bruce Lee. Every asian actors performing martial arts in Hollywood movies is the actual legacy of Bruce Lee... Love them both...
That's right they will be no competition none of these guys would exist if he didn't pass away Bruce rules with an iron Steel granite fist

Fun fact, they only fought once.
From Enter the Dragon
Bruce Lee kicked Jackie's ass.
Fun fact I still can imagine
It’s like Godzilla vs King Kong...different fighters...using different styles...Jackie should choreograph a fight scene between him and Bruce Lee, using the actor who played Bruce Lee in Ip Men 4...out of respect I am pretty sure Jackie would choreograph his own defeat.
Actually Jackie has done stunt work in two of Bruce Lee's films.
If Bruce Lee was still alive, he would've been a more phenomenal actor.
He would've been in his 80s and still going
If he was still alive, he should be 80 years old by now.
Kind of hard to make a comparison when one didn't get to make it past his prime ain't it
I believe you.
I think so too he was an iconic actor also he inspired a video game too I can't remember because it was a little long ago but he does have a character in there don't got his name tho
Fights:Bruce Lee
Stunts:Jackie chan
I like Bruce lee but I rarely rewatch any of his movies compared to Jackie chan
jackie's movies are better true. he mixed comedy with martial arts. he is a more creative film maker. bruce lee's movies on the other hand are pure martial arts movies which show superhuman feats. both are 2 different style of movies, if bruce's movies are 80% martial arts and 20% entertainment, then jackie's would be 80% entertainment and 20% martial arts. jackie is more of an entertainer, while bruce is more of a martial artist. and people today prefer a bit more entertainment in their movies, which is what jackie's old movies are mostly about. also doesn't help that films from the 60s and 70s don't age well.
When Martial arts movies were still New they hardly knew how to film it. It was a complete new form of Cinema. Even Jack Chan movies only started to really get interesting from the Mid 80's till early 2k till he kinda got passed his prime. Plus Jackie took time and directed even operated the camera from time to time even heavily involved with editing.
In that sense Jackie Chan as a better Eye for Motion picture. While Bruce Lee is more of an Actual Martial Artist. Do wonder at times if or when Chan actually broke through in popularity If Lee would be still alive during the 80's/90's that there be some Colabs.
@@MadShadow_ An 80s movie starring Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan with Sammo Hung behind the camera and in a supporting role, would have been great.
I will always prefer jackie chan over bruce lee, his movies are just more entertaining imo
They are all copycats after Bruce Lee was able to penetrate the US movie scene with his martial arts movies. Bruce Lee started the trend and a lasting footprint. Nobody compares to him. They just come close--like Jacky Chan.
To me they always will be my main equal interest. Best Aries vs Best Sagittarius
Me too
@M who asked ? and i lke basketball more
His movies are more comedic, i wouldn't say more entertaining.
I wish Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan would've work together in movies.
At least they did Enter the Dragon.
Agreed. As master and pupil rather than opponents/enemies.
In the words of Jackie Chan,
“I didn’t want to be the next Bruce Lee .
I want to be the first Jackie Chan”
You can’t really compare the two.
Amen to that.
💯 Agree with that
Technically is this not true, what Jackie Chan says !
He make a sequel from Bruce Lee’s Fist of Fury in the beginning his Movie carrier !!!
But he don’t have success in this, nobody can hold a candle to Lee’s Charisma/ripped Body and his strength and speed !
Chan was intelligent enough to realize that he can’t fueled Bruce Lee’s footprints 👣 !
He was the better stuntman and make his version of a clown fighter.
He earned his success alone for his Stunts.
Ithink when Lee where alive, he where the Highest payed and best known Superstar in Movie Olymp. But he is even so the best and most loved Iconic Legen in Martial Arts Heaven !
Exactly
Yea I wouldn’t want to live in anybody’s shadow either
Bruce Lee should've gotten his own anime.
He would automatically be in one
Fist of the North Star
@@confusedpharaoh6249 Legitimately
In a way he has, he's been the inspiration for countless anime characters and a lot of videogame characters as well
@@j0hnn13K Some examples of it are Rock Lee from "Naruto", Abyo from "Pucca: The Animated Series", and Pokémon Hitmonlee
And yes, Hitmonchan is inspired on Jackie Chan 😉
Jackie Chan has been an actor, voice actor, director, producer, writer, editor, cinematographer, art director, stuntman, stunt coordinator, fight choreographer, etc... You guys are underselling the skills required to make action films. Especially when they include shootouts, chases, explosions, etc...
Man Bruce Lee would've, could've, should've been all that plus more if he's l hadn't passed away, you're short guessing Bruce Lee's ability to do all that so get a grip, I love & respect what Jackie Chan has done for the martial art's industry but Bruce Lee represents the industry down right hands up!!! JKB
@@jkbriggzalldaylong2866 Reality doesn't deal w/ would've, could've, should've. If Clint Eastwood passed way in the early 70s, people would be claiming that he would've been the top action star in the 80s instead of Schwarzenegger & Stallone. Even if you limit the comparison to the maximum age of 32-years-old, Jackie already had way more credits behind the camera. The fact that you chose to say "martial arts industry" instead of "action films" proves my point, b/c the likes of Project A & Police Story feature way more than just fight scenes.
Do Donnie Yen vs. Jet Li next.
Jackie Chan has more fun and creative choreography in his movies
They had different approaches when it came to films. Jackie's movies are kung fu mixed with dance, stunts and slapstick all rolled into one. Bruce Lee was more about realism. He didn't believe in flashy moves and tried to make the fights more grounded while still entertaining. Two completely different masters of their craft.
Because he is a comedian.
"I will show you the Art of Fighting without Fighting."
Hey who said that?

My stepdad still references Jackie Chan’s tendency to use ladders in his fight scenes

Jackie Chan has my vote.
Even before Lei Wulong (Jackie Chan clone) was introduced to Tekken, Marshall Law (Bruce Lee Clone) was already a full game in.

Bruce lee movies action were slowered
I think both of them are good but Jackie Chan is my idol.
Bruce Lee's film career may have been short, but his films were impactful and iconic for the times. Just on sheer impact and cultural relevance, Bruce beats Jackie hands down.
Both of them have their own style. Rest in peace Mr Lee and keep it up Mr Chan.
Don't forget all the video game characters, Anime, mangas, comic books that he influenced as well. He also created crosstraining by combining different exercises to strengthen the body as a whole weapon for offense and defense. Bruce lee is awe-inspiring.
My dad told me about Bruce Lee, then gonna tell my kids about Jackie Chan
Tell your kids about them both lol
Jackie is really great, but he did way to much comedy, like they said he was more of a Performer 🤷🏿♂️
Uh, Bruce was a performer also, other than a Karate tournament exhibition, everything he did was choreographed on screen. That’s the medium through which we watch him. I don’t know of any truly competitive events that either of them that were filmed.

Both Jackie and Bruce are amazing, but Yuen Wah was Bruce Lee's stunt double and it's said that was the best out of all of them. Yuen Wah is an amazing fighter and acrobat.
R.I.P Bruce Lee 1940-1973💐🙏😔
Bruce Lee is the GREATEST martial artist OF ALL TIME, there's NO ONE that's better than him or no one will EVER BE better than him! 🔥🔥

@@bidkgaming2933 it is not uncommon in life, for the student to become the teacher.
Bruce Lee would be 80 years old
this year.
........and if he were alive,

Both of these men were legends in their own right. Their legacy in film is impressive.
The producers had to ask Bruce Lee to slow down his King Fu so the camera could catch it.
In all honesty, because I grew up knowing him, I wanted Jackie Chan to win, but was not surprised Bruce Lee won the way he did. It was not at all an unfair match, as Jackie himself Admires and looks up to Bruce Lee. I really loved the match up and learned a lot.
It also gives me an appreciation on the limited number of Bruce Lee movies that were made.
I think it’s no question. Jackie Chan is one of my favorites but Bruce Lee is the boss! Many follow in his footsteps like directors will follow in the footsteps in legendary directors
Jackie Chan could be a rather lovable character. Bruce Lee was more of an awe inspiring bad ass. If you had a "bad asses of action movies" contest, Bruce Lee would probably win that too.
That was a no brainer. Of course Bruce Lee was the best. Also, he didn't just act with Chuck Norris. He destroyed him in that movie.
He actually didn’t destroy Norris, Lee wanted the fight to end in his favor
That was just in the movie but in real life Chuck is on a higher level than Bruce Lee. Read this from the internet: "Norris earned his first World Middleweight Karate Championship title in 1968. Proving to be one of the greatest fighters in martial arts, he defended this title five more times. He decided to retire after his 1974 victory."
Chuck Norris was better than Bruce Lee and a lot of other people as well. Chuck was more skilled, same with Jackie Chan. Bruce was amazing but he’s overrated. His legacy will always live on.
@@yeetfeet1878 😂😂 if you would watch his fight scene against chuck , he used low kicks , jabs , high kicks , trip kicks ( the ones from a down position to trip opponent), jabs , everything , while norris kept using his normal kicks , you could see from the film bruce was agile , fast , swift , beautifuly rhymed. Conversely , chuck was stiff and blocky , no comparison.

Bruce Lee may be the greatest martial artist in cinema history, but Jackie Chan deserves credit not only for his fighting skills, but also for his stuntwork. In my opinion, he's as much of a legend as Bruce Lee. That said, Bruce Lee is the father of martial arts cinema and deserves the top spot. It's sad that he passed at such a young age. Sorry Jackie, you are without a doubt the funniest, friendliest, acrobatic, action hero that ever lived but I'm afraid that Bruce takes the cake in this one.
