    Hey Randall, just wanted to leave a comment to let you know how much I appreciate the content you put out and the positive vibes you share. I work for a company just mowing, but channels like this that take the time to share your experience and just the hard work that goes into running a quality company really help people like me who are still learning the skills. Thanks.

    Do you have to use the non permeable cloth or can you just use the rocks? My area doesn’t run along shrubbery.

    • @elitelandscapeslifestories
      @elitelandscapeslifestories  5 месяцев назад +1

      It will move the water out of the area better if you use the non permeable fabric. It also stops the sinking of the stones into the soil over time. Hope this helps. It’s not very expensive 🤞👍💪😎✌️

    • @elitelandscapeslifestories
      @elitelandscapeslifestories  3 месяца назад

      Thanks 😊…. It’s called NON PERMEABLE fabric. It doesn’t allow water to get through. Usually it’s located at your local landscape supply store that the professionals use in your area. Feels more like plastic than fabric 👍😎❤️

    Could you use netted pebble tile over a rounded surface like a berm? When I put weed barrier down with regular gravel or bark chips over my rosebush berm mounds the gravel or bark chips always ends up rolling off exposing the black weed barrier over time.
    I want to get some netted pebble tile like cobblestone rock and basically tile it down with a rubberized flexible grout that will last long term on my berm mounds with holes around my rose bushes and plants to grow. Have you ever seen anything like this before?

    • @elitelandscapeslifestories
      @elitelandscapeslifestories  Год назад

      That sounds like it would work and be an artistic project 100%…. I understand completely what you are saying about the fabric being slippery. I say, GO FOR IT 💪
      I use the large hand size rocks … because they won’t move around once placed.
      You can also look into a product called Mulch Glue. That might be an easy fix for the issues. Please keep me posted and thanks for hanging out with me here on the channel 😎✌️

    may I know how long is this canal and how wide (inches) you muck the soil? How much are the river rock and the plastic fabrics? If my case is a drainage ditch bar, do I need to add concrete to fix the river rock?

    • @elitelandscapeslifestories
      @elitelandscapeslifestories  Год назад

      I’d have to be on your job site brother. Too many variables to look over for a job like that,, without seeing it in person. Most larger stones will stay in place and won’t need concrete. Sorry I wasn’t much help on this for you. Pricing varies on location and products used.

    Really cool idea and execution, I have a sort of similar problem where along a fence line on a slope I have continuous erosion problem and I can't get the grass to grow. I do not have an existing drain system along that fence. Also completely random, at about the 12:19 mark in the video while you pan the Boxwoods, one of them had this large brown area on it - is that called bight? I have a boxwood with the same problem and I don't know how to cure it; I don't want to lose my boxwood! Thanks for your videos!

    this is one of those situations that if it ain't done right in the first place, it makes it extremely difficult/expensive to fix it.i was wondering if the piping should have been 6" to 8" for more flow capacity?

    Hello Elite landscaping I got a ? Do you like enclosed trailers or open trailers and what a perfect size to start with I have a Chevy avalanche 1500 pickup truck I don't have a a big ride on mower yet ...will a 5x10 a good size for me just starting out last year

    • @elitelandscapeslifestories
      @elitelandscapeslifestories  2 года назад

      Hey DJ 🤜🤛 great question!! I would try to get a 12’-14’ open trailer with high sides…. At least 7’ width. I have the 12’x7’ single heavy duty axle trailer. It’s time for me to upgrade to a double axle 16’ …. But this one has made me 6 figures or more for 10 years, so just get whatever you can afford to start with. Life will always work out for you as long as your honest and WORK HARD at EVERYTHING YOU DO…. just trust the waves and ride them. God will land you in amazing places in life 🤜🤛❤️😎

    I can't find non-permeable landscaping fabric, other than plastic sheeting for ponds. Some landscaping fabrics say they are waterproof, but also say they are permeable. Can you direct me to a supplier/brand please?

    • @elitelandscapeslifestories
      @elitelandscapeslifestories  9 дней назад

      Have you tried contractor supply stores around your area? Might be available at a drainage supply store. I don’t have the name brand I use at this moment, my apologies. It comes in 6’ wide by 300’ and probably other sizes are available. Hope this helps a little bit 😎💪✌️

    • @adrianbishop871
      @adrianbishop871 9 дней назад +1

      Thank-you for replying. Sorry, I'm just confused about liner permeability. For instance, the Sandbaggy Non-Woven 8 oz Geotextile Landscape Fabric has a strong reputation but its water permeability is at least 100 GPM per sq ft. Other brands say they are "waterproof on one hand, but also very permeable on the other, so I presume they would not be suitable for a rock channel.

    • @elitelandscapeslifestories
      @elitelandscapeslifestories  9 дней назад

      @adrianbishop871 ….. the tighter woven the fabric and the thicker it is….. the better it will do. Keep me posted on your progress 🤜🤛

    • @elitelandscapeslifestories
      @elitelandscapeslifestories  9 дней назад

      @adrianbishop871 …. If you can find the right shape/coverage , yes the pool liner or pond liner would definitely work 💪✌️😎

  • @heidigummel1459

    • @elitelandscapeslifestories

      Sod staples. The contractor size and strength are much better than the small fabric staples from Lowe’s. Most landscaping material stores/yards will have them available. Welcome to the community and family 😎✌️
