wow I'm so glad to see the park doing well again I remember going there when it was owned by the Bembom Brothers and Jimmy Godden so glad it was saved and restored
Fantastic video Shawn. I went to Dreamland (Bembom Brothers) around 1991 and it was my first Theme Park. I passed my driving test a few weeks before. I remember the Scenic Railway fondly and at the time couldn't believe there was a guy in the middle of the train manually breaking it. It was my first rollercoaster. The Looping Star was my second :) thanks for posting a great video. I really need to go back there at some point. And what fantastic work those guys are doing.
Hi TPW! I went to alton towers for the first time ever on Wednesday, so much fun! Worth the 4 hour drive! My favourite rides were definitely, smiler, wicker-man and oblivion! Rita and 13 was also fun. I wasn’t to keen on nemesis just because i was expecting a bit more, but probably still on my top ten. I was hoping to see you, but no luck Lol! Looking forward to returning!

when I was maybe 14/15 we would skive off school and get a return ticket from bromley south to bembon brothers as it was known then. used to cost £8 for the train and park entry. Scenic railway was the first roller coaster I ever rode. I really hope one day they manage to to source a Schwarzkopf looping star to add to the park as its certainly now some 30 years later a heritage ride. great channel, fella
that is epic its just so cool the way the wheels are n bogies looks like an old train at the bottom not a rollercoaster and still a break man on board impressed first time i have seen a system like that
That video has made me believe Dreamland wants to make a real go of it this time. I was there on reopening day 2nd in line and we had a great day despite the scenic railway not being ready. The dodgems were really fast and when we returned the next year sadly they had slowed them down considerably. The park didn't communicate well with guests relying on PR companies who did a poor job, opening hours then shortened to a ridiculous low and they seemed more interested in events rather than the rides, Andrew seemed a total enthusiast and if he was here in 2015 then there wasn't enough made of it, thanks to your video we will make every effort to visit again this year opening hours permitting. I hope you make a good income our of doing this videos as it's thoroughly deserved
Shawn do Drusillas park it has lots of animals and a really well themed play area they have added 8 new rides now that are well themed and as much as they arent thrill rides its well worth the money and on a addition there is a train!
I love the fact that they've put in the viewing window so you can see the mechanisms for it😁 Makes me all the more annoyed that Pleasure Beach covered up the window that should the flying machines mechanisms😤😡

Love the bit in the episode where they go to the fair. Especially the bit where del boy gets everyone to go on the Mary Rose and he shuts the doors on them and goes for an ice cream instead! Whilst Rodney , denzil and Mickey Pearce shite themselves!!! Lol!!!
In the late 1960's i went on the Caterpillar ride that was at Dreamland at the time on 2 occasions and also rode the scenic railway twice. The water ride we did back then was one operated by a bloke on the Margate seafront when the tide was in ...and happened to be an old style planked wooden speedboat about 25 to 30 foot long that took holidaymakers out for a 10 to 15 minute trip out to sea. I saw they had a Caterpillar operating soon after re-opening the park but that it since departed.
Watched the full video, really good to see that Dreamland has been officially opened since 2015, but in my honest opinion still think this needs coasters added aswell more modern rides aswell themed zones. People pay £30.00 entry to Merlin Attractions which include rides & experiences on big modern day coasters where's this may pay make you pay less, but is not the same quality of rides which is apparently what they would like to be. Think in my opinion this park needs to become a resort with its own hotel, build bigger rides and coasters aswell attractions and expand, creating more space for new aswell big potential rides like you see at Blackpool Pleasure Beach and all UK Merlin Attractions. But by the way, Have Liked the video and was really good, keep up the good work. 😀👍
Hi Shaun I met you at Thorpe park on Thursday 16th we had a photo and I forgot to say to you that we had been stuck halfway up the lift hill on colossus earlier that day for around 45min
Great shame the Management are letting the rest of the park down recently, by keeping rides closed and covering several cars on rides with plastic covers ( out of action looks very poor) They really need to get everything open and ditch that new entry fee. The current mindset is killing the place before it establishes itself which is a huge shame.
I went to Alton towers yesterday and rode the smiler oblivion thirteen wicker man enterprise and the rapids, I saw your brick with u and charlottes name on I didn’t manage to take a pic, can I have 10 likes for going on the smiler cause I’m 11

I met lee wood today at Alton towers on the runaway mine train he gave us 6 rides because it was the end of the day
