15:54 This is that K-Bash magic I love, after after the funny editing and the passionate delivery, seeing him talk so casual, normal and relatable, especially since what he's saying hits so at home, is really nice to see. It's like that true, sincere love for something that a long time fan has.
Speaking as someone whose favorite Bleach game WAS the SRPG, I think it's more because I was into Bleach's worldbuilding than I was the battles. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the battles, but I was more interested in why Soul Society was the way it was rather than rewatching the Ichigo vs Grimjow fights. Don't get me wrong, the SRPG has problems as an SRPG and a Bleach game, but I really did hope for a sequel to it when the DS was still a thing. So I do appreciate the attempt to reach out to fans that preferred other aspects of the series rather than just trying to capture the frenetic fights so many more would have preferred.
I sunk way more time than I'm willing to admit into Resurreccion. Finding out Stark could just blast everything in a circle around him at all times and melt giant bosses in seconds with his wolves with zero effort made him a quick favorite to push through missions.
I always considered Uryu one of the best characters simply because he can dodge while attacking from long range at all times. When fighting superarmored small bosses who constantly flip around, Uryu just spamming Lichtregen and his vials at the boss without being touched is great. Though after a while spamming the attack button got my hands cramped up.
Another point in bleach the third phantom’s favor is that it ALSO features Arturo Plateado as a major antagonist, which is just wonderful. “This makes it the second best bleach game by default.”
I always loved Arturo almost entirely for his voice and way of speaking.. His death quote in shattered blade almost triggers an ASMR reaction from me. "I-It is dark, I...I cannot see..."
The fact you totally ignored the Dark Souls joke with the DS fighter goes to show that you have more self control than any other content creator in your sphere
Bleach Dark Souls is one of the most content filled ds games period. 44 characters, english dub, 6 modes including: story, arcade, versus, training, time attack, and survival, an optional customizable card system that adds various effects to battles, a gallery with tons of art, music and voice clips, a full and complete Bleach encyclopedia, versus mode includes a ds download play option where your friend doesn't even need a second copy to fight you, etc... I could go on and on. Treasure and Sega went above and beyond.
I had always heard it was one of the best fighting games on DS with some pretty respectable depth. Really expected it to be held in higher regard on a video about the best bleach games
Soul Resureccion is one of my old faves. If the leveling wasn’t so hamstrung into grindathon territory, it would have been one of the best Musou-likes ever.
The 3rd Phantom was incredible. It felt like a completely original Bleach arc with new and interesting characters, while also being a love letter to all the existing cast and giving everyone some much needed attention. Being able to choose between the twins as the main character and seeing how they have very different personalities and playstyles was really cool and added replay value. I still remember my favorite part being, and I kid you not, the training arc. Because depending on how well you did you could either power up your Shikai or actually achieve Bankai. Getting Bankai while also unlocking most playable characters and raising your bonds with them for the raid on Hueco Mundo required insane micromanagement and really made it feel tense. It's only flaw may be that it only goes up to midway through the Arrancar Arc and tries to awkwardly integrate into the canon plot, like some kind of alternate timeline. Because it takes place so early a lot of characters are still very basic and didnt unlock their cooler stuff yet in the story. I would have loved a sequel or remake that goes a lot further.
Ah The memories of grinding all the soul resurrection characters to their max level and eventually getting the platinum trophy, fun times indeed. My main was Dangai Ichigo.
@@ichigokurosaki9098 I feel like they needed to put that feature in there to balance out this version of Ichigo because if they didn’t then I think he’d be overpowered
As a fighting game nerd, Bleach Blade of Fate is actually fucking sick. While obviously an unbalanced mess cause it's a game made for kids, it's incredible how fresh and fun the gameplay was. The Shunpo mechanic was such a smart addition, allowing you some free form combos and mix-ups while being an amazing way to express your personality. You can dump it all for big ass BnB, use it for movement, use it for pressure, make yourself safe, it was great. And it was balanced by using EX moves that usually allowed for strong confirms at the cost of losing a bar of Shunpo for later. It's incredible how fun the characters are, the game has big Arc System Works vibe gameplay wise (double jumps, air dashes, etc.) and the dev KNEW this because there's a trial mode in the fucking game and it legit made you learn mechanics you didn't know were in like restand combos and throws being combo starters for most characters. I regularly go back to this game, it's fucking great. Also, for a handheld fighting game, the sprites and effects were surprisingly detailed and smoothly animated (albeit a bit snappy due to lower frames of animation) and I'm not surprised they made a few more games reusing those assets cause they're good assets for sure.
I still play Bleach: Dark Souls time from time on my DS. Yes, the D-pad can go to hell. But it's still really fun. Weridest part: That game was my introduction into the Bleach series. I used to play it using the DS download-play back after sunday church when some kid brought their DS with the game in it, and it stuck with me so much that I kept an eye out to buy it months later. Hell, you couldn't even see the character portrait using download play, so I based my choice off of whatever named sounded appealing to me at the time. Plus no idea how to play = me just button mashing.
The best one is clearly Bleach Brave Souls. Despite being a Gacha game it made the officials realize that we as Fans were still interested in Bleach especially with them releasing TYBW units starting from 2017. It is also the only Bleach game that is relevant nowadays.
I had tons of fun with the Bleach fighting games on the PSP, I remember it being kinda slow but idk why I used to just sit down and play that game for hours. But man, shattered souls, my friends and I would just go crazy on that game. Good times
The Parasite Eve 2 jumpscare - didn't expect to hear KBash saying that title. For real though, Shattered Blade is an easy best game for Bleach titles. It's fun, chaotic and simple to pick up. Throwing your friends a wii mote and you can immediately get to the fun and THAT is awesome.
keep forgetting to comment but great video dude! i have very fond memories of shattered blade i remember being so prideful in unlocking all the characters by myself,i felt like a big brain guy when i learned waggling the wii mote at the right time extended hits and damage during the supers and i remembered thinking arturo plateado was the coolest mofo to ever exist (he is) ah good times also loved the use of budokai 3's theme when you poped off in the end great touch really adds to the hype
I wasn't too much into Bleach games, but I think Bleach: Dark Souls was my favorite. A Bleach game made by Treasure (which played like Guardian Heroes, or maybe their Yu Yu Hakusho game I guess?) was pretty much the best an anime game could get for me.
The thing that i think bleach is underutilised when the character design & power itself revolves in RPG formula instead of just solo fighting. For instance, in basic MC team , we got swordsman (ichigo) , archer (uryu), brawler (chad) and healer (orihime) . I very much like to see game company make a RPG game about them adventuring together in every spirit realm in bleach universe instead of just make fighting game repetitively
When he was talking about the kid story at the end and said, “he seemed to be having fun” had such an amazing emotional tone to it. I love this channel
Dope upload Kbash not gonna lie the best bleach games for me personally were the soul carnival series for the psp mainly for the story telling/dramatic beats from the anime and the heat the soul games for capturing the fights decently in my opinion the rest were rough but bleach is probably one of the most visually aesthetic of the shonen bunch at the time either way great video
I feel so much satisfaction from seeing this comment section praising Bleach Dark Souls, the 3rd Phantom and Soul Resureccion. The first 2 are some of my favorite games on the DS and SR is one of my favorite PS3 games. Soul Resureccion could easily be used as a basis for a Bleach Musou, if Koei and Team Ninja weren't cowards.
Really wish there was a UNS esque Bleach game, at the very least. It's geniunely great series that people like to downplay, mostly because alot of people say it sucks. I can only hope one day they will do remake or Bleach kai, because I can't think of a single reason Naruto managed to win it in popularity poll, and I say that as a Naruto fan. Even the anime that has pacing problems, or random fillers, or Jin Kariya and his many, many plans is way better then whatever the same studio was doing with Naruto. The TYBW really shows off how great Bleach can be if it was a seasonal show with alot of care, that stayed true to Kubos work.
Soul Resurrecion is by far the most polished looking one that holds up the most. The most recent Bleach game went for 2D chibi style again and that is also kind of timeless, but it really cant compare.
Shattered Blade was the best! Soul Resurrection too, oh man! I loved 3rd Phantom cuz even though I couldn’t create a character with a physical appearance, I could determine everything else. I actually bought that game in Japanese because I’ve played it so often that I knew all the selections.. it was a really fun game to me when it came out.

While I'd kill for a serious Guilty Gear like fighter for the franchise, Shattered Blade is kind of a perfect fit for the series. Gimmick heavy and goofy, yet still a little cool. Fun and intoxicating until you literally get tired of it. Grimmjow is there. Good times. And Dark Soul is neat, I guess. Treasure always makes interesting stuff.
Blade Battlers 2 was at least a huge improvement in every way over the first one. I had hoped they would continue the series and keep improving it, but they moved to handhelds and Heat of the Soul became the standard for Bleach fighters.

Missed opportunity to work the "whay eez mah naem so hard too sae?!" line from Shattered Blade's sound test into a joke. It might be low-hanging fruit when talking about Arturo Plateado, but barely anyone talks about these games, so good luck finding someone who has picked it already.
I've been saying this for over a decade. If you remade Bleach the Blade of Fate (it was the first Bleach fighter on the DS, and it loosely follows the events of the Rescue Rukia arc) with modern controls and graphics and more specials and supers, you'd have a very good 2D fighter, probably not on the same level as Dragon Ball FighterZ but it would ABSOLUTELY be up there.
Random thought, on the non commercialized list of titles: Bleach vs Naruto and Bleach Online. I found them simple and nice to play--with one being a 2d fighter and the other a more battle power centric game.
pretty much everything I expect of a bleach game : Open world, a little bit of adventure, quests, missions, all worlds (human world, hueco mundo, soul society, soul king palace, and quincy castle forgot the name of the place) and the ability to either choose a character from the anime or create your own custom one (and by that I mean customise your zanpakuto, shikai and Bankai/ Cero, résurreccìon as arrancar/ Quincy techniques etc...) or simply be a human with powers like Chad or Orihime, Fullbringers I think the name was
I still remember soul resurrection was the original reason I wanted a ps3 in the first place. Can say to this day I still don't even own the game but I've played thru Drakengard 3 enough to get to the flower and that's probably worth something.
Kbash you should know now how insane and unrealistic it is for anime characters with crazy long hair being able to see ANYTHING while swordfighting in the air
Bleach: Dark Souls was a great game to play with my siblings via DS Download Play, and we got so much fun out of it for a buncha then-kids who knew nearly nothing about the show that it was a staple of our DS collection.
Arturo is from the 3DS SRPG so, by your logic, Bleach the 3rd Phantom is the 2nd best Bleach game because both and Arturo are in it. I can agree with that.
Played and enjoyed shattered blade until it was discovered how broken Orihime is in that game. Wall, projectile, multihit strong attack, self healing, could get consistent perfects. The only way to beat her was to contest her strong attack and win the rock-paper-scissors minigame several times until she dies.
thank you for hard work now i can just select which game i wanna play from watching as a Fan of Bleach . The Gacha version is the best one for me Bleach Brave Souls is one of the best game for me i've been searching Bleach game but so far none come close to Bleach Brave Soul and with 9th anniversary version of Kenny and Gremmy things got a lot of fun you can clear difficult quest more easily well Kenpachi is the strongest soul reaper title holder and gremmy is the strongest quincy and they are simply the best
It do be hard being a Bleach fan recommending a video game. I know Bleach D.S. is Justin Wong approved, Heat The Soul is an 8-ing developed game, so the very bones of it have drip somewhere inside, and you're ride or die for Shattered Blade, but it sure would be nice to have a Budokai 3 or Tenkaichi 3 everyone can point to with nostalgia blind glasses, and still walk away fairly correct about it.
Soul resurrection was slow until you buff your character trees. I could do almost any stage without dropping a combo the entire time with stark. I feel like that game could have a speed run community.

seems he heavily favors local multiplayer, which doesn’t define a good game

Bleach: Dark Souls was a great game to play with my siblings via DS Download Play, and we got so much fun out of it for a buncha then-kids who knew nearly nothing about the show that it was a staple of our DS collection.
Me saying the word Poutine incorrectly in front of my Quebec friends: "You're getting it anglo."
Guess what? Bandai Namco officially revealed a new Bleach game called "Bleach Rebirth of Souls".
Bleach Dark Souls plays really damn well on 3DS with the circle pad.
Describing Kenpachi as a Gingly guy and uryu as a Bow guy is amazing xD i will now use Jingy guy as an adjective for kenpachi now thankie
Hey I don't know if anybody is gonna read this but if you do can you tell me what game is shown at 5:41 ? Thank you
Soul resurrection was slow until you buff your character trees. I could do almost any stage without dropping a combo the entire time with stark. I feel like that game could have a speed run community.
How do roblox Bleach games have such high potential like make something like that outside of roblox god damn
KBash you're a good man....man
an updated bleach musou game would be perfect
With the Animes return, I am hopeful for some new Bleach game entries.
Bleach GC being a no-show made me kind of sad.
I spent quite a few hours playing Heat the Soul 4 but can barely remember it.
