- I didn't play many Bleach games as a kid, and that needs to change. Bleach Shattered Blade was a big clickbait of a Bleach game, but it's a Bleach Fighting Game. I spent way too much money on another Bleach game. But at least, I've played them all now! Or at least, all Bleach games that came out in home consoles in the West. Hyper specific, I know.

Globku love the videos man but if you want a good bleach game i must say probably the best bleach game i ever played was bleach the 3rd phantom on the DS its really good and you should give it a try if your looking for a good bleach game. If Globku starts to cover bleach games I really hope he covers Bleach: The Blade of Fate for the DS, for a ds fighting game of the time I think it still holds up pretty well as well as the unique soul card gimmick.

Bleach Blade Battlers 2nd is absolutely incredible, it's my childhood and i love it, still a pretty fun game even today, it came out to the PS2.
Jpn only tho it's fun tho

It's kinda sad that one piece, naruto and dragon ball got their whole sets of video games meanwhile bleach was asleep at the wheel. Whoever held the right to make bleach games either didn't know what to do with it, Or just had better things to do. Hopefully a game will come out somewhere when the anime is airing (or possibly a storm 4 moment where the game displays the end before the anime... I think Bleach needs a CC2 game)
I have no idea why, but Shueisha, Pierrot and Bandai just didn't want to promote Bleach. The fans loved the franchise (it's one of TV Tokyo's best selling anime of all time, and one of WSJ's best selling manga of all time), many of the anime staff loved working on the series, it went on to inspire (and outsell) many of the current manga artists currently serialising their stories in Jump, but the people who held the rights to it just didn't want to promote it.
They took ages to produce the anime, rushed the first arc of the anime and cut huge sections of foreshadowing and character develoment, then slowed the pace of the second arc to a crawl when they started running out of content, then followed that up with one of the worst filler arcs ever... then when the anime went on hiatus they stopped making games all together (it didn't help that youtubers started spreading false rumors that the anime was cancelled), and then did little to nothing to promote the manga when Kubo decided to end it.
No wonder people think Bleach is bad, look how it was treated compared to it's contemporaries.

2. I think Emulation isn't something we need to shun. If you're happy enough to spend hundreds of dollars to play a single Bleach game on the Wii, then more power to you. But that kind of barrier for entry would off-put most people, either because they don't believe the value to be worth it, or they simply can't afford to put all that money into a project. Emulation makes older and harder to acquire games much easier to access for people to enjoy. And if there was some form of online paid service that allowed people to play Wii Games, I'm sure there'd be plenty of people willing to pay it, but there isn't. Just throwing my two cents in, and not trying to start any wars.
You are 100% right. It's a silly argument especially with old stuff like this. If the companies that fight emulation had their way, buying used games would be illegal as well. Would that make it wrong?
Morality and legality are not the same thing. All piracy is illegal, but not all is immoral. If a game has passed a certain age, I think pirating and emulating it is perfectly moral and justifiable. Buying a used copy of a 20 year old game does nothing for the original creators.
I also just know, deeply, that I would not have ever played many amazing games if not for emulation and piracy. There is no way I would have spent the money on a whim to try some old NES or SNES game, but because I can just try it and see, I was able to find old games that are simply amazing. I am sure the artists and creators who made them would rather people still enjoy their works, 30 years later, than see them lost to time and completely forgotten.

My man... If you want to try out a GOOD Bleach Fighting game, I'd *seriously* recommend Bleach Heat the Soul 7 on the PSP - it's as good as it's gonna get, with every character having a unique playstyle/moveset, with some relatively advanced gameplay for how limited the console is with buttons. Definitely worth a try!
I always wanted to play that game. It's very similar to Naruto Clash of the Ninja on Wii isn't it?
Heat the Soul, Blade Battlers 2nd and The Gamecube game are all pretty neat

I was just about to comment this too, but there ya go you already did it for me, I played every heat the soul, not disappointed really really good fighting game.
I still hope the game coming up by cc2 is bleach related, arena fighter or bleach fighterz would be nice!

I played this when I was in high school. It quickly became clear Orihime was OP and not even fun to fight against. She could consistently get perfects on anyone by blocking all damage, zoning, healing and throwing out her high priority strong attacks. The only way to counter this is to clash her strongs with your own strong and then try to beat her at rock-paper-scissors. Even if you managed to win that, she would just run away and heal up the damage.
The best Bleach game (USA/EUR) isn't a figthing game, it's a rpg for PSP or NDS (don't remember well which platform, but it is one of these), it has an original storyline written by Kubo and works as a precuel to Bleach (anime/manga) :).
It's called bleach the third phantom on the NDS. It was the third of Four bleach DS games

The Bleach Tactical RPG on the DS was one of my favorite DS games. I legit grinded almost every single character in that game
The Bleach Heat the Soul games on the PSP were fun imports, and were easy to play for English readers. Pretty much just follows the bleach story.
Each one was pretty similar but with more content so the last ken is probably the most worth it.
Soo in regards to Japan only, bleach heat the soul series on the PSP was really really fun back in the day (specially heat the soul 7 which has a bunch of characters).
Bleach Soul Carnival 2 is a must play aswell, it's a platformer rpg (also really fun).
There were some interesting ps2 and Wii figthing games (don't expect much depth tho): mainly bleach versus crusade (wii) and bleach brave battlers 2 (ps2).

The only other bleach game I can recall is the one on the 3DS. Also the several on PSP too, but Bleach didn’t do much for home consoles; but apparently a bit more on handhelds.

I loved Bleach shattered blade on the wii, man that game brings back good memories, one of the best Bleach games to play even using the wii stick it was so much fun I’m glad this game is getting the respect it deserves.

I had this as a kid. I don't remember it being very good. But I loved it anyway since it was the only bleach game I could play on my tv.
When it comes to bleach games, the only game I ever had fond memories of was the 3rd phantom, it was like a really cheesy bleach fan fiction that was an alright rpg, playing it nowadays it’s very easy to break but I think that it’s half the fun of the game
I would recommend checking out dark souls, It was the second bleach game on the DS. Third phantom was... Well third lol

This is why I love emulation for games you can't get anymore. It's the only way we're gonna be able to preserve games with companies being to busy focusing on the new stuff.

Play the 3rd Phantom on DS! Arturo is also the villain in that game. It's amazing.

I really appreciate this! I’ll only pirate when a game isn’t available on any console or it’s too expensive (looking at you, ps2 copy of Matrimelee). But I feel like a lot of big fighting game RUclipsrs shamelessly admit and openly support piracy (by using fightcade and other emulators). And then they have the audacity to make videos demanding companies like Capcom or Bandai for x thing. So it’s refreshing to see someone like you, saying that piracy is not right.
The shameless pirate will always make excuses to continue playing for free. Excuses like…it runs better on emulator or….nobody cares about old games. Keep pirating, but then don’t you dare to ask Capcom for MvC2 when you’re gonna continue on fightcade anyway 😒

Shatteted Blade was my first Wii game. It was pretty bad, but I still enjoyed it. I was massive Bleach fan at the time I bought it. But Hanataro's story broke me... not only he doesn't do damage, he heals the foe...

Bro I played soul resurreccion as a kid but totally forgot I had this as well. Seeing this game is a huge nostalgia blast. I played it as a kid with my brother and I think that made this a great game for us. As an adult I would probably have a lot less fun xD Thank you Globku for revisiting these old bleach games. i don't know if you ever played the ds bleach games but those were actually pretty good if my memory serves correct. One of them was like a fire emblem type game.

If the devs aren't seeing money from the game sale on 2nd hand markets I'm not as sure about the piracy concerns but for the sake of conscience and one's own moral perspective, I respect that.
My favorite Bleach game will always be Blade Battlers 2nd on the PS2. Even though I don't understand japanese, I had a lot of fun with BB2 and I would love to play this game again.

only bleach game i played and actually had fun on is the mobile game bleach brave souls. i just got back into it really heavily now and love how much they have done on it over the last idk amount of years! game is f2p friendly, it has a fun gameplay system (some find it repetitive, i get that) and the main thing it is focused on is is characters, the design, and abilities. A LOT of new characters / character designs, some that tite kubo supervised and a lot that kubo said he loves. Original themes ( christmas holloween, japanese parasol etc) with unique abilities to match, and most of the TYBW characters that released with the manga are getting updated and re-released with the anime . idk i love it and it is genuinly the best mobile game ive played in a while

Bleach: versus crusade also came out for the Wii it was japan exclusive but a friend and i used to play it a lot, it was a good arena fighter

The best BLEACH videogames ever are the HEAT THE SOUL saga on PSP. Heat the Soul 6 and 7 are really enjoyable and not bad anime arena fighters, plus if you are a Bleach fan you would totally love them, cutscenes for special attacks, tag team specials and in game transformations are the best of these games. I always dreamed for them to take those Heat The Soul games to major consoles, with more budget, that would have been amazing, I hope with the return of Bleach this year we could get a nice Bleach fightgame for consoles and PC.

The only Bleach game I've played was Bleach Dark Souls on the DS, which was a proper 2D fighting game with motion inputs and air dashing and the likes, though I don't know if the game was a kusoge or not lmao
The Wii recording issue could’ve been avaided if you bought a WiiU, it cost a bit more than a sealed Wii yes, but you would have a WiiU that can play WiiU games and have an HDMI

I played these when they came out and had a lot of fun just because I got to step into the world of Bleach. I definitely settled for whatever I could get. But yeah I hope they release a new game that’s actually super good with the return. Also if you haven’t you should check out the DS Bleach games they actually released quite a few if I recall, I know I own one and used to have another that was a turn based RPG type. It’s called Bleach the Third Phantom and I recall enjoying it a lot.
Just give bleach game built like the Ninja Storm series. That type of gameplay would fit Bleach wonderfully, espcially with the huge varity of iconic characters in the series.

Bleach handheld games was so much more than what consoles had, Bleach Dark Souls was a decent 2D fighter, 3rd Phantom was an OK tactical RPG and the not localized Heat the Soul series on psp was decent 3D fighters.

The wii u is backwards compatible with all wii games and it also outputs in hd, that way you wouldn't have to buy an hdmi converter

I spent tons of hours playing Bleach Dark souls on Nintendo ds. Matter of fact, at that time i didn't know what anime was. One day i came across bleach on TV and i was like wait this name and characters seems familiar (It was scene from bount arch where yoruichi was standing nude at trainstation) and i immediately got hooked. Few years forward, i read bleach manga watched all movies and shows including live action and i jump on anyone who tries to look down on bleach. I guess, i came a long way. 10/10 will buy new DS in future just to play Bleach darksouls and chrono trigger.
The only bleach games that i really enjoy was Bleach Blade Battlers 2 for PS2 - and Bleach Versus Crusade for Nintendo Wii , if you wanna try , i think can be interesting

Play Bleach Soul Carnival on PSP (Play both, but the 2º is better) and you should try Blade Battlers (Play both, but the 2º is better again)
