    I would love to see a video about making solid facial serum bars (like the ones made by that BIG handmade company called Touch Of Grace). I've used them and they're wonderful but the recipe seems complex. Nobody else has done that yet!

    Hi, I made these shower steamers and although they turned out great I noticed the next day they started to activate a little bit not much and then 48 hours later they activated a bit more. Do you know the reason this would be? I have to say I did not use a humidifier but they looked so good when I made them.

    What percentage rubbing alcohol do you use

    • @abbylynn8872
      @abbylynn8872 Год назад +1

      Most of of use 99% isopropyl alcohol. I've used 91% with no problems. Both of which can be reasonbaly purchased at the pharmacy or grocery store as well as online. Avoid 70%as it may activate the citric acid.

      I’m having a hard time finding 99% alcohol. In other videos you mentioned Ever Clear can that be used.

    Are you saying menthol crystals are unsafe to put in pain salve?? That goes on your skin and is good for pain

    Thank you so much for such a thorough and detailed explanation of the process! I'm making them as gifts and my first pass was a test batch with actual vapor-rub. It was an epic fail! 🤣 Since cream of tartar is pricier than cornstarch, would you say they are interchangeable...or does it add something that would merit including it in the recipe?
    Also...I'd consider myself a solid intermediate soaper...and this shower melt craze has me wondering if there's a way to include menthol to a cp soap. I'm considering a try with some camphor and eucalyptus EOs...and maybe adding some menthol in alcohol just before emulsion. I just have no idea how it would react with the lye...or how much would be considered safe on the skin. Any thoughts? Maybe a recipe? 😁Thank you again! ☺

      This will depend on total batch size and % of preservative needs or aloud

      Yes, absolutely, but remember it just washes down the drain so it may not be cost effective
