Another thing I wanted to clarify is if I don’t use Brazilian and Pink Clay you mentioned we could replace it with kaolin clay, so would that be a total of 3 Tbsp of kaolin clay?
No it does not over power it. Of course you can smell menthol . Its important to not add to much menthol. The while idea is to help clear the nose and get aromatic beennefits

If you didn't want to use the corn starch, what would you replace it with? More cream of tartar?
You can replace it with 80% bicarb and 20% cream of tarta .

Why would you add in nice clays for a shower steamer? Is it just for natural Color?
Yes it is but it also helps harden the steamer . Some countries cannot get things like cream of tarta so they use clay instead
