Thank u so much for actually sharing ur recipe. A lot of people don’t share this and for beginners like me who just want to dabble in this I really appreciate it
Thanks heaps for the recipe... I'll be trying it later today. I do have calendula in the garden but I'm going to decorate them with crumbled eucalyptus leaves and the pink stamens seeing they are in flower at the moment. I just pinched some in a pre-dawn raid on the nature strip out front and dehydrating them.
Good day, what do you mean by liquifying the menthol that one wants to add? Also the eucalyptus that you added to you batch is that 20ml of essential oil that you used?
mentol crystals come in hard form so you need to melt them down. you can do this by heating essential oils and mixing it in or by adding to othe things as talked about in the video. with essential oil the rule is usuially only 1% but this is not for the body but the floor so you can add variations to that to get the amount of scent you desire
Hi Rhonda, I’ve been a follower of your candle and body butter videos and thought I’d give this one a go as well. I’m curious, can I use fragrance oils instead of essential oils in this recipe?
Thank you for your reply. I was just browsing n-essentials website and some of the essential oils are so expensive, especially if you’re using quite a bit in just one recipe. So it’s good to know I can at least try it out with FO I already have on hand.
Thank you so much for sharing and forbthe smaller batch size. That was very thoughtful! I had a question for you. You mentioned needing polysorbate 80 if you added mica. May I ask why? Im starting to branch out into making other things and trying to learn all the things!
Yes I encourage you to ask that’s how we learn. Polysorbate 80 helps to disperse oils and it help micas to not stick to the surface so when the product starts to bubble the mica slides down the drain easily and makes it simple so there’s no scrubbing the floor later
Your beautiful parcel turned up yesterday so I will be using my shower steamer tonight as I have the worst head cold I've ever had lol. I've never used one before so will be nice to try it xx hope you are well, my friend :)

@@lorribeacandlessoaps2780 thank you. It seems that your humid was not right and that’s very important. You could leave them for a few days but they should have dried within a couple hours

@@NelsonInteriorSoapery The rustic look is darling! I see many recipes with what we call cornstarch - supposedly to help make the melt harder. Is that the same as corn flower...for the same reason? Also, would you adjust the 20ml of ess. oil if also adding dissolved menthol (maybe in witch hazel)?

Thank you for this video Robin. Do you place the shower steamer on the floor of the shower where water is constantly hitting it or if a shower is in a bathtub, do you place it on a dish on the corner of the bath and add a few drops of water to activate it? I hope this question makes sense. 😊
Hi Rhonda, thank you for showing us how you do your shower steamers. Would you consider selling them in the containers you used as the mould? Because I see steamer lasting longer and when you have finished your shower and there is still steamer left you could pick it up and keep it for your next shower? Again thank you for your assistance. Cheers Bronne
@@NelsonInteriorSoapery I might need to make my shower steamers more wet because mine could not withstand a shrink wrap. They are a little fragile but I am going to try it. Thank you
Hi, My name is Jennifer and I am an Australian currently living in the UK. I watched your video and even though it was about showers steamers and adding 20ml of essential oil, I noticed you said to use 1% or less of essential oils in a bath bomb. Is that the total amount of the mix for several bath bombs or for just one? 😊
The difference is that some are considered skin products like bathbombs as you sit in the water but shower steamers don’t touch you as the wash down the drain. Bathbombs can use 5% fragrance oil or 1% EO

Love that sifter, that size. I live in the U.S. and so far haven’t found one that big
It’s the size of a dinner plate. That’s standard here. I think it’s a cake sifter in a cheap department store. Like $6

How do you dry your steamers before wrapping them
Just leave them on a tray for 1-2 days and they should be dry

The shower steamers . You can use bath bomb moulds or moonpresses

You only need a spoon ful but it depends on the size. You can use up to 2 or 4%
