Hi Cam, Great video. For people who don't have accu-rip you can covert an image to greyscale, and then create printable halftones without the need of Accu-Rip. Convert to greyscale, adjustments, bitmat, set halftone setting and bam.... (in Photoshop) we used to do this with good results before we got the rip software.
My Dad suggested I watch your video on Loading Techniques as some are tricky to load due to stretchiness and material. I honestly can say I am now loading my t-shirts the way you suggested and it's been working great!
So if i was to print this using only black ink on a white T-shirt, it would making the outside of the shop (in your case) Black and the inside a lighter toned grey/black?
ok I followed along all the way up until you clicked separations preview 6:54 .. its not allowing me to check the box underneath, is that because I dont have Accurip orrrrr???
Great vid I've been trying to do 1 color haltones with not such great results, using photo.s method . & no rip file. I do a lot of hand illustrastons , that have a few tones when brought into p.s & try to put into a halftone print. Can u give any suggestions. Thanks, Daryl
Great content, going to be spending a lot of time with these videos. Any chance of doing a screen printing basics video for illustrator. 100% of my graphics experience has been with photoshop and other than live trace I'm illustrator illiterate. Seems like I'm missing a lot of valuable tools. Thanks !
nice tutorial but can you show us how to halftone only in photoshop i used color halftone but its roundness is way to big and the photos are not that clear when i edit it hope you read this
Where/How did you pay for that actions menu??? I am trying to learn more about automating some of the steps in my seping process. That would be great to have!
Hey Man these tutorials are great and I find them pretty easy to understand, one question regarding this subject I have and it's really confusing me is could this same halftone be printed on a white shirt with black ink or would I not invert it if I wanted to achieve that?
Yes we used Accurip. If you make allot of films Accurip is so worth it. I hated it when I first started using it now I cant imaging life without it. also the quality of the halftones it produces is way higher than doing the gray scale to bitmap method. I will do a video on that method as well soon.
Great video, you are the MASTER. I'm just starting out and can't justify Accurip yet, have you made the gray scale to bitmap method video yet? That would be awesome if you could.....Thanks Cam
It would be a great tutorial if thats actually what it was. Where did you get the magic dust to invert the image from black to white at 2:16 ? Thumbs down
Great video but a bit too fast.....trying to learn how to do halftones but with this video im gonna have to watch it too many times just to duplicate what you did and Im still going to have questions. seems like you left out explaining why some of the things you did
Thank you Cam! You never say too much, the explanation is gold. Appreciate the video, keep up the great work.

Unfortunately you will need accurip for this tutorial. I will make one soon for those who dont have it.

Thanks Ryan. I love your company, Comet white is the best!
Does just filtering the picture into monochrome then using the negative filter.
Work just as well?
need more videos like this, i was wondering how to separate the images for making screens multi colors
Is there another printer that would do halftone as well? Or is the Epson 4800 the end-all-be-all?

That's great info! Only problem for me is... I still find PS COMPLEX. still trying to find my way around it
Hello, very good your videos ..Because you don't print directly using Photoshop, is it better to print using illustrator ?!
are you using ultraseps for your action bar?
Yes, It does an ok job.
Hey cam, know of a good tutorial on using gsview with illustrator? just can't afford accurip at the moment. great vids man.
Hello, I have a question, what type of mesh you recommend for this kind of design?
Thanks
280 305 will work great. I regret making this vid becouse the photo was a horible example. I will update this soon.
nice tutorial but can you show us how to halftone only in photoshop i used color halftone but its roundness is way to big and the photos are not that clear when i edit it

Hi Cam! What is the action menu software you used for your photoshop?
It is called Ultra Seps.
Thanks Cam! Stay awesome!
Wait how did you made the image black? Where is the revert click
Have you tried the affinity software? Just wanted to know what your thoughts are on it?
Where/How did you pay for that actions menu??? I am trying to learn more about automating some of the steps in my seping process. That would be great to have!
Can you do a video using separation studio and the spot process inks? If you do use that software.
Yea I will as soon as we have a cmyk job.
Hey Man these tutorials are great and I find them pretty easy to understand, one question regarding this subject I have and it's really confusing me is could this same halftone be printed on a white shirt with black ink or would I not invert it if I wanted to achieve that?
Just rewatched the beginning and I found my answer lol
Holy crap that's a lot of info. Thanks.
Yea man I tend to ramble. Worst part is a bunch of stuff was cut out.
I forgot to mention that you will need Accurip to do this.
How to save in photoshop if you dont have illustrator?

Did acurip automatically make it a halftone? I use Ps to do halftone because it's free. Is acurip worth the $$?
Yes we used Accurip. If you make allot of films Accurip is so worth it. I hated it when I first started using it now I cant imaging life without it. also the quality of the halftones it produces is way higher than doing the gray scale to bitmap method. I will do a video on that method as well soon.
The Print Life okay cool. Maybe show the difference between acurip and Ps and the final product.
Great video, you are the MASTER. I'm just starting out and can't justify Accurip yet, have you made the gray scale to bitmap method video yet? That would be awesome if you could.....Thanks Cam
yes accurip automatically converts it to a halftone based on transparency, 100% black will be solid 50% black would be converted to a halftone.
Is this considered halftone ? ....
Yes! It was just a God awful example.
It would be a great tutorial if thats actually what it was. Where did you get the magic dust to invert the image from black to white at 2:16 ? Thumbs down
half the shit doesnt even work anymore.
While in Photoshop, couldn't you just "Convert to Smart Object", then send to Rip? Instead of opening it in Illustrator?
Never tried it that way. Im sure it would work. So many different ways to achieve the same result, Do what you like best.
Great video but a bit too fast.....trying to learn how to do halftones but with this video im gonna have to watch it too many times just to duplicate what you did and Im still going to have questions. seems like you left out explaining why some of the things you did
