    Might be my eyes but I am pretty sure the official robbed him of at least 15cm measuring it from wrong landing point? Is hard to tell by video I suppose

      yes, if you put it in slowmo you can see CLEARLY how the shot put lands further and then it returns a little bit!!

      They didn't measure it from the point where the ball returned to obviously, that would have robbed 30 cm at least. Maybe it was a few cm wrong, hard to say from this video.

      Kronos Certainly . There is probably one more meter to get if he would be a bit lower on his legs , land his left foot faster and finish longer in the shot in the delivery . His throw is not completely finished and all the forces created during the rotation are not transferred into the implement . I think 24m throws are possible and they will not be achieved by stronger people but by people able to create higher accelerations and better transfers of speeds and forces into the implement.
