GENTLEMAN.... congratulations.... this video really more than amazing. especially the (explaination) of the GENTLEMAN MR JONATHAN BUCKLEY.... MANY MANY MANY THANKS TO YOU....
Great numbers! I'd love to see this motor with the FAST 102 and the new adjustable runner lengths. Mid or short length would be great for the motor! Probably eek out some more power too!!
They need to invent an intake that shrinks down the runner length as the rpm’s go up.
That's insane and yet very awesome!
Would love to see this engine fuel-injected and installed in a road race Camaro. Should pull nicely off the corners.
what's with installing a dry cam?
Bucko being an Aussie, trying to keep a straight face when he says ‘Kuntz’
Reading the video title first, i honestly thought they were building an 800cu engine. Ha
Bait and Switch
I fucken love it show me more documentaries of the Motown LS2 very interested in the 454 cubic inches Motown LS2
Thanks for the build. The Malibu has almost to much tq
Why was the torque scoop low??
Like to see it with a Nelson racing intake and using fuel injection.
😂 when I first heard 13:5:1 ratio i was like they selln a dang bomb. Then he said a two year warranty with a 10:1 ratio. I was like aight but if they building em like this I would assume e85 if you wanted to boost it.
My old pistons/rods 427 ls7 motor made 13.5:1 comp, full street car. I ran a flex fuel sensor to pull timing in case I had to use pump but never did since E85 stations are virtually every in Sacramento.
Rpm heads cam package for the ls7 averages 620/640 whp and that's on a 100% oem short block.
All the way to 670rwp
A nascar cup motor unrestricted with 358 c.i.d. Makes around 900 h.p. That’s almost 100 less cubes.
This is 6.5 year old technology, you can get this kind of HP now with street drven comp. By the way you forgot to show us the Camaro down the quartr running this engine
A superdiesel om606 3.0L 500hp + and 950ftlb TQ stock internals.
13:5 compression... only race gas
or e85
Cool engine, but with so many awesome aftermarket EFI systems you could've chosen and they features they support, I'm surprised you didn't do so.
carbs are better
@@cloroxbleach118 LMAO
Cali charge cooling
@@cloroxbleach118 Ask the legend Steve Morris which is better. He builds 2000HP blow thru setups and even he'll tell you EFI is better in every way.
Cali yes on a 3500hp twin turbo motor efi is superior obviously, im talking about naturally aspirated engines
1:20 saving money? With an engine like that?? Lol
The price of that engine and only a 700-800hp goal . You could get a 6.0 and 1500 bucks of parts to make that # all day long. Then if it blows you will still have the money saved to build a dozen more 800hp ls engines. But if you have close to $20,000 to drop on a bad ass engine like that then do as you please. Not knocking any of these high dollar builds but just saying 800hp LS can be done for cheap for us regular joes.
Vs a China gt45 turbo with stock heads and Forged pistons SMDH
what size where the headers?
800hp from a 454ci...probably 2".
Olds 455 bore and stroke
13-1 compression? there goes the average guys street engine.
13.5:1... 118 race gas, atleast.
Johan... "118 race gas atleast".....Don't need that high. 118 is for serious compression. This engine probably could runs on 100 octane.NHRA Prostock uses 118 with compression ratios in the 15
can do e85
How much money too build that
Is that an aussie mullet
ANY MUPPET WHO PUTS HEAD FACE DOWN ON A STEEL BENCH , THEN JUST PICKS IT UP, THEN PUTS ONTO AN ENGINE IS NO PRO ENGINE BUILDER, GEZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Seams like the way to go. Drop it your car ,bolt up, strap in, and blast off. Question is, how much is all this fun going to cost me?
Craig Pennington atleast 1 kidney 😂
Amazing. All the components went in dry. Back in the day we would coat all the wear surfaces with liberal amounts of oil. Ah well technology marches on.
Brent Hill they just did it as a show piece by assembling it dry. I bet they still coat the combustion chambers to allow the neweky milled internals to properly wear into their positions. Nobody wants to see guys getting greasy with their engines 😂😂😋
Lower the compression and bewwwst it
no.......keep it high and n/a...fuck the 10000- degree hair dryer
LSX BLOCK IS WAY STRONGER AND A STOCK 6.0 BLOCK WILL TAKE THIS POWER ALL FUCKING DAY AND THIS IS FACT A CLOSE FRIEND OF MINE HAS HUNDREDS OF PASSES ON ONE WITH A 7.0 ROTATOR AND STOCK BLOCK THAT MAKES 1000HP WITH SPRAY AND HASN'T HAD ANY PROBLEMS
You say "off the shelf parts".. in a common man's world those are not your common off the shelf parts ... those are very very expensive off the shelf parts a high end motor shops !.. please don't sell it like it's just a normal build . Tall deck 480 ...ummm we aren't that naive
I HATE MUSIC IN AUTO VIDEOS GRrrrrrrrr enough already. it's effin obnoxious
