Wow nice. This is my favourite maiden song. So many cool riffs
Wonderful piece of music. Thanks a lot for uploading it.
Another hidden jem from Maiden. The first time I heard this I was blown away. One of my favorites from Piece of mind. You nailed this. UP the Irons!!!
Yes. I always felt that the last riff was the perfect finale for this legendary album...
🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿🤘🏿💪🏿💪🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿❤❤❤❤❤ He is the King of all the land.... In the Kingdom of the sands..... He has the power to make it all end🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
I picked a good to subscribe. This is my favorite Maiden song - maybe, only maybe slightly behind Back in the Village.
Thanks man. I learned this a while ago, but it's always good to refresh.
Do you watch the live performances for reference, regarding position on the neck, how they play it, etc, or do you just go with how you've learnt it, by your own ear?
Yes I watch the live performance of the song each time to tab it as close to the original as possible. There are many riffs that are played in different variations, especially when it comes to chords. If something doesn't fit, I end up trusting what my ears hear on the original recording.
I had the original cassette when this was called " Dune " (wish I still had it today). I played the tape to death. When I got a new one I was confused . Where was "Dune " and what was this "new" song in the credits called " To Tame a Land " . LOL Thanks for this tab :)
Dude I didn't even know that! Googled it and it seems the song was inspired by a book called "Dune" or something like that. They had some issues with the writer. Well, I guess i learned something new today 😁 👍
I did this one too. My fave. Great job! Ibises a little chorus and delay since I don't have a phaser. Davey's magic on this one.
Yeah I've watched your video. Nice. Dave plays all the main melodies here - but the magic in this one is on the bass lines...
Nice sound!
wow man, just wow.
Cheers man!!
Great !
Awesome! 🤘🤘
SICK!!! thanx so much!!!
Спасибо! Очень круто👍🤘
i have a question. i probably learned the song of a wrong tab back in the day or i simply mistaken the part that dickenson sings as 2 notes that i should play in the guitar (my ear are not the best) , but i thought that in the verse it goes 3200 in the first string before it hits the power chord not 0000. i can't tell from the studio recording and i can't find any recording of them playing the song from this century everything is pixelated
now that i heard of the part like 5 times in the row by you other cover and playthroughs there is a good chance i was hearing and emulating the notes that the bass plays. i would still care for your opinion since you have a lot more practice hours with the song than me.

No, the correct riff has 0-0-0-0 and the powerchords. The other things that you hear are the bass line and Bruce's vocals. In this particular song, the bass plays a major role, it has almost all the main melodies on it. The guitars just strum powerchords and PMs most of the time.
@@songtutorial yeah i have never noticed before your tab. i always heard the g to f# and i thought that was the guitar. i forgot this is iron maiden and this is harris
while playing the song solo it sounds so barren without the 3-2 thing though. the bass in maiden colors the songs so much apparently.
probably it is the bass i hear in the main riff as well that plays c and b during the upbeats
@@hellNo116 The song was composed by Steve Harris, so it was written on the bass. Yes, if you play the guitar riffs without the bass, it sounds empty. Even the harmonies in the last part of the song, if you take out the bass they sound barren.
