I struggle with this one but I had someone help me learn it not too long after this came out. I struggle more with some of the parts of Los fer Words and Phantom of the Opera. There are plenty Iron Maiden songs I have never even attempted.
My all time favorite Maiden song. It's THE reason I read the Dune series. This is such a different kind of song from everything else that was happening then. They're easily the best, and most musically adventurous metal band ever. One of the most musically adventurous bands of ANY genre. All great musicians, as well. Thanks for posting this!
This sounds exactly like the record inspite of the poor overall quality of the video and sound. It’s a testament to how good Dave and Adrian really are. This is a rare piece of art found and RUclips is a museum !
Fantastic! Fair enough,Frank Herbert was not a heavy metal fan..but if he'd let them call the song Dune all the Maiden fans would have bought a copy of his book.A brilliant example of Steve Harris' Bass Playing, kind of a proto Mariner.True talent.
por canciones como esta, q aparentemente es desconocida, le das el justo valor a maiden como una de las mas grandes bandas de la historia, que pedazo de cancion , epica!!
I was 14 years old in '83 and would have given my left nut to be at that concert. I did finally see Maiden a few times, starting with the Live After Death tour, but would have loved to see NotB and PoM tours, as they are my favorite albums.

My favorite Maiden jam of all time. Never saw it played in concert and I've been going to shows since the mid 80's. Dune just happens to be my favorite book series as well.
This is one of my favorite Maiden tunes from Piece of Mind. Those first 3 albums with Bruce were amazing! They sound fantastic here! No surprise! I've seen them a few times and they're on point every time. Lucky enough to never have seen them on a 'bad' day.
How in hell they passed security by bringing in a camcorder to this concert, specially the size of the camera at the time. That's the reason we don't see much of old-school live concert videos in RUclips, because cameras, even tape recorders weren't allowed in concerts. That's amazing!!
Ty frank herbert for being against metal, because although Dune is a great name for a song, To Tame a Land is so much more epic. And I think the song portrays Dune better being named to Tame A Land More than naming the song Dune because it adds a brand new meaning to the story in my opinion. I love the name of the song

I didn't think it had ever been played live either. Was just jamming it tonight, some cool parts. I hear wah here, going to try it like that. Many of their songs have subtle wah on them.
Thanks so much for sharing this. Brilliant performance and it's so nice to be able to see a concert I was much too young to see at the time (didn't get in to Maiden until 1990).
