I got a v6 pico chip that looks like this v6 instinct chip (cable goes over the ram, under the cpu shield and bends over to install). Should work the same right? Flash chip, solder components, install chip, cut shield, reassemble, install sd card with cfw?

Mr Sthetix, I installed a modchip following this tutorial and everything worked until the last step.. I extract the HATS pack into microSD card but when I put it back in the switch, it either fails to boot (modchip glows purple then green then shuts off with nothing displaying) or displays a message saying failed to boot init.
Do you know anything about this? I tried formatting my microSD, I did this via Macbook, idk if that's an issue, any help would be appreciated.
try using other sd card brands.

I would like to install this mod kit on my lite, however I have absolutely no experience in soldering as a whole, let alone micro-soldering. Before I start doing anything to consoles I would first like to practice and learn soldering and micro-soldering, is there anything in particular that you recommend for this type of thing?

You'll need to practice soldering for small repairs before installing the modchip. For example, repair the Xbox or the PS3 analog stick. You will be confident later.

My Switch Lite shows the Instinct NX screen but it is unable to go through the OFW. Whenever I try I always get a blue screen. I also get a black screen while I try to boot the console with the sdcard inside.
Try to repair the nand withthe level1 guide.
I have no power to chip and system after installing the ribbon cables. Any idea as to what could be happening? It boots up normally if the chip is disconnected.
maybe the ribbon cables is damaged? please check the soldering points for short.
Where can I get the kit ? I tried looking for it but all I can find is the v1,v2 and v3

Hi, I accidentally updated my switch to the latest firmware and now when I boot my switch the screen stays black, my emunand is working fine with the latest ams and hekate but sysnand is not!
try using my latest hats pack, 1.6.2, run sysmmc, it should work.
What would you more recommend, the new v6 Instinct NX or Picofly?

because it is heat proof.
@sthetix I completed the mod and it boot fine into OFW and Hekate. However, when I tried to back up EMMC the unit would froze and locked up. Any pointer on what to do next? thank you.
try to replace the sdcard
@@sthetixofficial I got it fixed. I found one loose connection on the flex cable connector and maybe the cut off part on the heat shield is touching the usb port that might cause a short. Everything were corrected and now working like it should.

My switch never boots to hekate anymore after updating to 17! It only blinks Purple for a bit Then WHITE! Then straight to OFW Heelp! 😢😢😢
