HOW TO DO FORWARD 3-TURNS - TIPS FOR BEGINNER SKATERS (journeybacktotheice)

Hello! Today’s video is a beginner friendly ice skating tutorial for forward 3-turns in skating. This is one of the first difficult turns you will learn as a skater. Forward 3-turns are used daily by figure skaters and are a very important foundational element for more advanced turns you will learn down the road. This video is meant to be a beginner friendly tutorial that will break down both forward inside and forward outside three-turns. Three-turns can be found on both the adult and basic skills 5 & 6 Learn to Skate levels. Hopefully this video helped you with your 3-turns! Wow, an answer to my prayers! I'm learning 3 turns in group lessons and my coach is having me do them in private lessons, but I'm struggling with outside 3 turns, which is gonna be tested in ISI Gamma in addition to USFS Adult 5. I have such a hard time doing outside 3 turns counterclockwise, because I always end up on the toepick despite trying to do the turn on the rocker and my coach is always telling me that side's 3 turn is too toey. One of the adult skaters once told me to also not look down when doing the 3 turn. Maybe I need to go back to the boards for counterclockwise work. Thank you!
