You should give lowfield lakes ago not too far from Sheffield lovely venue they do open matches on a Sunday and Monday I think there's multiple ponds well stocked
Once watched Bob Nudd on peg 43 fishing what looked like a slider catching hand-sized hybrids but according to the report in the press the following week he was fishing a fixed waggler 4' deep in 11' of water firing in maggots every 15 seconds or so and weighed 35lbs.
Dave not trying to tell you what to do but if you start fishing as far as you can chuck straight away you've got no where else to go. And if someone Is catching at 45meters you may have gone past the carp. Enjoyable as always keep on bagging
Makes me laugh why people who are throwing out a feeder 60+ yards all match feel the need to set their station out 2 yards into the water from the bank and stand up in the cold water all day. The guy 2 pegs to the left knew he could sit nice and cosy on the bank and just cast 2 yards further LOL
If you look behind him, you will see a wall that will inhibit the man's casting ability. I'm sure he would rather not waste time setting up a platform if it wasn't needed. Tight lines mate.
If you mean sat on the bank , standing on his box to cast because of a big wall which if you get it wrong you will crack off nearly every cast. A nice chilled day then so be it. 👍
Lovely carp Dave. Enjoy your videos very much.
Thanks Matt 👍
