1885 Rock Carving by Lantern Light

Henry Church walked through the woods at night with a lantern to carve beautiful images on a huge rock. By lantern light he carved an Indian maiden, a papoose, a giant snake, a skeleton, an American flag, a quiver and arrows and many other marvelous things. These carvings are very well done, are accessible to the public by way of a short trail along the Chagrin River near Chagrin Falls, Ohio.
