That's very insightful, and there is something to it! This list describes affective empathy (emotional empathy) rather than cognitive empathy. That basically means, the tendency to automatically re-create your perceived idea of what someone else is feeling in your own nervous system, and thus feel it yourself. Cognitive empathy, on the other hand, is the tendency to accurately perceive what others are feeling, which requires some unconscious mental math and often also involves conscious/intentional perspective-taking. The conditions you mention (autism, anxiety, and ADHD) are all linked to sensory sensitivity and/or emotional lability (which are interrelated). It makes sense that people with those conditions would have higher affective empathy, because their sensory/emotional systems are more easily activated. It doesn't necessarily mean they are better at guessing what other people are actually feeling. This can interplay with the struggles that people with those conditions experience; for example, we may think others are negatively judging us more often than us than is the case because we are prone to feeling shame (which is the empathic manifestation of others' perceived disgust). Perceiving more negative judgement causes us to feel even more shame, and our shame becomes a self-perpetuating force. Positive socialization & practices that support accurate cognitive empathy - such as asking people for more information about how they are feeling, instead of assuming - tend to make a big difference for someone w/ any of those conditions :)

Also what instrument and what kind of music do you play?
Awww, they came back home to their own child after killing brown children overseas :)
@@sassyblumpkin5437 I tour with metal bands as a sound engineer
Watching this video directly after watching Cody's video of him crying through every single video in his Dad tears video makes Noel being an empath even better
that article just hit all the marks for general anxiety disorder, not being an empath lmao
i think that you and noah work together so well its weird to imagine these videos without noahs editing or without noel
YES noah needs more appreciation
Thank you Aleena for keeping Noel on his upload schedule🙏🏻
The way i started to actually cry physical tears when that boxing kid realized that it was his dad he hasnt seen in forever. 10/10 empath
Yeah his little voice was so sweet!
Those military reuniting vids always have me balling when kids are involved and i don’t even like kids😭
@@leann4265 same lmao I don't even like the military but those get me every time!!
Nope just 10/10 a normal human being with normal emotions 😂
Comparing this to Cody's "Try Not To Cry" video where he tears up just from the picture has me cackling🤣🤣
17:42 THE SOUND STOOOOOOP
The way they described being an Empath just sounds like being Neurodivergent 💀
Empath is such a hard term for people to understand because it just means so much and is so deep, thank you for bringing the true meaning to light
Perfect. Today my mom announced shes an empath and cried when I said having empathy makes you not a sociopath and everybody is empathic. But no, shes special, apparently her empathetic abilities make her cry when she can sense i think shes being fucking dumb.
LMAOOO
Apathy is so normalised nowdays people think experiencing empathy is some kind of super power 😭
omg thats so mean let ur poor mother think shes special
💀💀💀
Ugh I hate her. With legitimacy.
the way he's either laughing or just uncomfortably sitting there is so funny
“This makes me a little soft…..not like that” 😳😳
I like how he chose the “wrong one” every time
4:06 imagine the kid goes in for a hug and the dad catches him with a surprise left hook "should've kept your fists up, son"🤣🤣I'm clearly an empath
Hey Noel, I know you likely won't see this but I just wanted to say thank you. You made it a lot easier to get through these last couple years and your last Phoenix show was actually the first live event I've ever been too and it was amazing. I know you've said youtube is kind of killing you at this point and I'm sorry to hear that I hope you do what makes you happy and I just really wanna thank you for making my world a little more humorous when I needed it.
I thought the one with the cars was about his friend passing in a wreck at first. I now realize it's about his car and feel nothing.
Surprised noel didn't feel connected to the soldier coming home video since he's always looking like he's come back from serving in Iraq
