I just watched the Buckskin Gulch video which was excellent. Had to check out the Colorado video because we live in Montrose and look at the San Juan’s every day. We have a treasure of adventure surrounding us us from Colorado to Utah and are trying to experience and share. Interesting to see the progression from 2019 to 2023! Keep sharing!😀👍
Lynn, thank you for watching. Both of those trips were incredible. I was just getting into filming as a hobby in 2019, so I know the Colorado video could have been better, but I'm sure I'll get back out there for another adventure! You're fortunate to live in such a wonderful place. Happy trails.
I live on the western slope of Colorado, would love to do something sometime. I have big plans for the San Juans this summer, best wishes. Cool to see how your videos progressed much like mine, lots of stills to full on great video and drone use. Just becarflu where you fly your drone, wilderness areas like this are off limits. . .wish it weren't so for guys likes. . .
Thank you so much for watching, and for noticing the progression. I wish I'd have a good video camera for all my past trips so I could have been more consistent. You are right about being careful about where to fly our drones. I've gotten some pushback from some folks on that, and deservedly so. I used it in Buckskin Gulch recently because with it being winter I knew we wouldn't be disturbing any people or wildlife, but rules are rules. So it looks like I'll just be using it in National Forests and other unrestricted areas. I hope your San Juans trip works out. It's wonderful down there.
Thanks so much for watching. We did get onto the CDT for a short stretch of his trip, about 8 of the 80+ total miles. The rest of it was spent on The Emerald Lake, Valacito, Johnson Creek, and Needle Creek trails.
Thank you so much! I used a Sony RX-7 for the pictures and video… and switched to a GoPro for the Wyoming trip. I am but a humble amateur on an amateur’s budget!
Wow! What a fabulous video! Michael what kind of camera(s) did you use? This is without a doubt a professional grade video and besides that..here am wishing I was 30 years younger so I could go on one of these treks! Thanks so much for posting!
This is where I'll be when if I have to escape to somewhere. Beautiful

Great Work ! Enjoyable Video! Count yourself as blessed to have that many friends who’d venture out into the wilderness w you ! 👍
Well said! The wilderness is great alone, but certainly better when shared!
The Weminuche has been one of my favorite destinations in the west, not just Colorado, for years now. Thanks for the great scenery from those 14'ers!

ps- just watched your Longs Peak vid. Outstanding work! I'm subscribing.
I understand the journey as I got my first GoPro in 2017 and it's been an ongoing journey ever since with upgraded cameras and then drones. 😀
GREAT VIDEO. Did you guys hike the CDT & CT across the wilderness?
