Aaahahahahahahhaaa so true 😂😂
I assume it means don't fuck it up, or something? It sounds similar to the Russian ''ne zaseray'' or something.
@@fegelfly7877 Ne seri znaci ne seri. Or in the language of the west it can be translated "cut the bullshit" "cut the crap" "stop bullshiting", sometimes it can be used when something suprises you, than you say "a daj stari ne seri" which loosley translated means "come on man stop bullshiting" :D THere are many uses of a term "ne seri".

So Croatians mix a kind of Mediterranean attitude with a Slavic drinking culture. Dangerous mix :)
100% correct.
Dangerous INDEED
Indeed it is.
Yes, it is kind of what separates us from the rest of the Balkans. While other countries in the Balkans are mostly orthodox and oriented towards the east and Russia, we have always been drawn more to the west and are mostly catholic. The Ottomans conquering the rest of the Balkans probably added to this effect. And we have many stereotypically mediteranian things, like vineyards, music, landscape (especially referring to Dalmatia here). But of course we kept many slavic traditions, folklore and of course our language is slavic. The western influence can practically be seen everywhere where we live. Zagreb, the capital, looks like a entirely normal modern European city. Also in Bosnia and Herzegovina, you can see clear differences in infrastructure between Croatian and Serbian or Bosnian cities/villages. The Balkans, especially Bosnia and Herzegovina (because of the multiple nationalities) are politically and culturally so interesting.
@@ivanrenic4243 Interesting. Thanks.
I met a Croatian woman a number of years ago and she never heard of anyone allergic to pork. We went to her family party and all they had was meats of pork but lied to me that the cutlets were chicken. I woke up in the hospital and she apologized to me and was very depressed. Now she believes me. Very good people and they love their soccer ie European football. Never debate football with a Croatian woman because you won't win. Also very family oriented.
I am croatian but don't eat pork..at least thought I didn't because my family always just lied about it

I think my baba would have an heart attack if we had plastic cups for guests. 🤣🤣
Baba was a woman of culture and education. Unlike these riffraffs today.
Imagine tellin baba that they did rakija pong... Would have smacked them
Ha! Mine too! But what do boys know about being good hosts?
Plastic utensils can be used for a picnic perhaps. But for hospitality at home? HELL naw. And I do not serve just one type of liquor - there are least a dozen to choose from (honey rakija being my favorite) so any guest feels they have options and leaves the home feeling loved, cared for and satisfied with our shared social experience.
The plastic cups you use for games like quarters or alcohol pong, the good shot glasses…those you save for special occasions (like if the Croatian woman is serious about the person she is seeing, and drinking only)
My fiancé sent me this and I was prepared to hate it, but damn you got it right. Except for the plastic shot glasses, we would never give a guest a plastic cup like that.

As someone who was married to a Croatian and have been there many times I must say I highly recommend Croatian ladies. Gorgeous and feminine. a little Mediterranean, quite a bit of Slavic, likes to be treated like lady.
Very rare an ex husband saying something nice about ex wife. I'm born in Australia with Croatian heritage and I can relate to sime of this video. 😂
My ex husbands would never say anything nice before or after. 😂 They don't know how to treat a women. There not real men. Just narcsists.

My mother is Croatian American through her grandparents and its pretty crazy how much this stuff applies to her 3 generations removed from her ancestors land.
The younger generation isn't much about assimilation, when abroad. Much of modern Croatia is 'fake and superficial'. Many other Balkans like Bosnians claim they are Croatian, but: If real Croats assimilate, they still have this 'masculine, yet feminine energy', and rooted in European (White Catholic) traditions. Beautiful.

"Jeste li normalni, ovo je vec 3. sto sam morala vozit u bolnicu?!" Hahaha
Yes, pretty accurate ... but is it just me or did it miss one tiny essential detail: where the frick did you hide the wine?! At least in my family a table without wine is pretty much an empty one 😂
That's 100% correct. Vine is no.1, orahovica, pelinkovac, loza .....

I'm Croatian and I have never done this, I know plenty of others who haven't, and would laugh at you if you did.

Well said brate. Živio
Many common things with Greek. As we thought wind will cause us ill, and is true don't laugh, especially when you are sweat. We drink coffee and chat with hours and if you go to Crete, Greece everybody will you give you raki. And for some reason we want to drunk foreign people. It has fun lol 😂
I love Greek food. Dated Greek men to. And one was half Greek and half Croatian.
We are not so different! My mom is from Dalmatia, and *her* mom, my baba, has a Greek maiden name. Many of the foods I grew up with are just Dalmatian versions of Greek dishes. We have baklava and burek (I think it's kichi or Tyropita Strifti in Greek), and rakija is our grappa (though in my family we stick to wine, just lots of it). Živjeli from America!
Hvala! I wish Slavs were still good friends with each other! Come on guys, let's continue friendship! Where are the real men now gone seriously? Sretan Peytak!
First name Last name teenagers are usually into interslavic friendship thing... because they don’t know history :) do you know that Croats had a special knife called “serbosek” ? Look it up.
As a Croatian and as I know my country we only don't like Serbs because of the war but we are still good with them evan if their politicans still make propagandha about greater Serbia on our land and on Bosnian and Montenegrian and Macedonian land, we Croatians love other Slavs
