  • Punk before punk was invented, MC5's singer, Rob Tyner, laid down the anti-establishment blueprint for all future rock'n'roll rebels to follow. Rob Tyner, was the lead singer for the Detroit proto-punk band MC5. His adopted surname was in tribute to the jazz pianist McCoy Tyner. It was Tyner who issued the rallying cry of "kick out the jams, motherfuckers" at the MC5's live concerts.

    I lived in downtown Detroit briefly before moving to Birmingham MI in 2005, so much that could of been done

    So sad that this old building is just rotting away. Would be neat to see it get restored.
