I went Bangalore to watch the Gandhadagudi movie from Hyderabad
In north India, we usually watch movies of south in Hindi dubbed. My whole family loved Dr Rajkumar or Puneeth sir movies. They didn’t knew much about him but I am in awe of this actor by his acting, simplicity, healthy role model for boys and men like us. When he passed away, I kept on watching his movies and cried so many times. I couldn’t believe that such a good actor is no more. You’ll be forever missed Puneeth sir. ❤ 😢

i moved Bangalore last year and saw people are so much into Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar, later when i asked my kannada friends what's the matter they told me about his good deeds. this makes me feel if millions of people are worshipping him as god, then kuc toh aaisa kiya hoga is insaan ne. and i don't have to ask for rational for people why they do it. I remember the day he died, my dad called his coworker to report to the duty at a certain time. But that lady was just weeping continuously saying 'I miss him. Sorry sir I can't report to duty tomorrow'. My dad then told her to stay at home. Such was his influence.

Puneeth Rajkumar (17 March 1975 - 29 October 2021), colloquially known as Appu was an Indian actor, philanthropist, playback singer, television presenter and producer, who worked in Kannada cinema. He was the youngest son of actor and matinee idol Dr. Rajkumar. He was one of the most popular actors in Kannada cinema. He appeared as a lead in 32 films. As a child, he appeared in many films. His performances as a child actor in Vasantha Geetha (1980), Bhagyavantha (1981), Chalisuva Modagalu (1982), Eradu Nakshatragalu (1983), Bhakta Prahaladha (1983), Yarivanu (1984) and Bettada Hoovu (1985) were praised.[2] He won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for his role of Ramu in Bettada Hoovu.[3] He also won Karnataka State Award Best Child artist for Chalisuva Modagalu and Eradu Nakshatragalu. Puneeth's first lead role was in 2002's Appu. In a career spanning three decades, he has won one National Film Award, four Karnataka State Film Awards, six Filmfare Awards South and five SIIMA awards. He was conferred with the Doctorate by Mysuru University. The Karnataka Government conferred the state's highest civilian award, Karnataka Ratna, to Puneeth Rajkumar on 1 November 2022, posthumously.[4]
till now i get tears when i remember him! My idol, he has a very huge impact on me. I'm so lucky to be live in the same era as his. Unfortunately my of meeting him didn't fulfill. But nvm he always has a special place in my heart. Im so blessed to be a #Puneethian. He will always be remembered in Karnataka.
