I feel like Pig could benefit from the ambush noise prompt happening during the ambush, like in the movies, instead of beforehand. It'd make her ambush not just a worse version of Wraith uncloaking, worse because while yes there's a shorter sound prompt you also have to be a thousand times more aware of your positioning since survs can just flat out see you where you kinda gotta squint to see a stealthing wraith. Something it could also maybe benefit from is the ability to feint it, so like you can choose when you ambush if you're gonna launch an attack or maybe even cancel the ambush early because that way you can sorta trick a survivor into thinking you're gonna commit. It becomes much more of an interesting mind game I think. It'd also kinda be in line with the whole "make your choice" theme of the pig, since the survivor has a choice in action between the pig feinting and the pig committing and has to react accordingly, if they guess wrong they'll be hit. Albeit, I think that feint would have to come with a bit of a buff to her speed when ambushing so you can't just rely on a reaction to get it. Shit should feel like a coup stack.

Late, but I was the pig from the first game. I got the game in 2018 but been playing on and off as Killer only. Usually came back during Halloween because they usually give out free stuff. I watch more DBD than play because its hard to understand what went wrong in my games. Like in the video, I felt like I didn't do well at all because I barely did anything for the first 4 Gens and had to abuse my killer's ability and camping to get a few kills. It felt like I played my best to barely get 2 kills and I had no idea what to do to get better. I'm probably gonna get back into this game again (127hrs now) because of this video. 1:22:34 I think the general mindset with this is "If I pick this guy up and kill them, everyone else gets away for free". What killers imo are trying to accomplish leaving the 1 dead person alive is to try and give the survivors a reason to stay in the match and not leave instantly, which in theory would lead to maybe an extra kill or two. The problem of course is if not played well, that 1 confirmed kill can easily slip through your fingers in the commotion of trying to snowball off of the team's altruism and you''re left with the 4 man escape.
That first match was an insane comeback. Four gens done and only one hook to two people dead and the other two death hook before they escaped. If had gone for the Feng after Nea and downed, that was an easy 3 kills, maybe 4 if the other Meg had been dumb and tries to rescue. Very impressive, and very satisfying to watch ☺️
I'd also like to add that Sadako lunged way too early too often. She had reverse Coup De Grace. Lost so much time and distance (and as a result the chase as a whole) because of missed hits and recovery times. Much better to just take the extra 2-3 seconds to make sure you hit instead of losing multiple hits.

@@MoNaemaThat gameplay was so rough, but I will give credit that some of your plays were good even by PC standards. Only so much you can do on console.
That Pig game made me remember how often I had to dodge lobbies like that in my first couple hundred hours. It was crazy playing a level 15 killer for the first time and coming up against SWF with a full item load out. It didn't feel like the MMR system was working properly until I was closer to 400 hours, though that makes a certain amount of sense based on new player populations. The player population reflects a countries demographic, and these days there are just more experienced players then new players joining

I rlly enjoyed this video! It helps me to feel a bit better abt being new/bad. I get too scared to play killer, have only played a couple times as spirit and after winning 2 games I felt confident but then I got put against some really good 4stacks with lots of perks I didn't even know existed x__x
Yep. The secret is to know that after winning a couple, your next few are going to be _rough._ I also started with Spirit, but a friend recommended I switch off of her to learn the basics of killer, as her power teaches you a hunter-killer approach to playing the game without teaching you the fundamentals you'll need on other killers like Clown and Trapper. I switched to Legion and Ghostface, and love them both! Legion is great because it feels like I'm bringing judo skills to a street fight. Really good survivors live for the chase, they'll be the ones t-bagging you and showing themselves. Legion is good to get one hit, and then struggles to follow-up. I like to use the team's strongest player to get a frenzy hit, and then dash off to find their weaker teammates. Not only are they letting you get free hits, but they're helping you find their weak links, and they're getting increasingly frustrated by not being chased. Try Legion, you'll learn a lot about the game, and how Survivors think and move. You can then use the logic you learn from Legion to play Ghostface, as instead of chasing the survivors to their objectives ... you approach them from stealth.
@@irregularassassin6380 thanks for the advice! im just worried i'll get too comfy on legion and wont return to spirit :( but youre right i cant get far without the fundamentals
Hi, as a p100 legion and feng on ps4 i can only say if you want to improve with lets say legion than play alot. Open custom game vs 3 or 4 bots and practice the killer, learn the map, loops, gens position. When you feel more comfortable, play against people. you can do it, it takes time and devotion. as with many things, the more time you put in it, the better you will be.
thankyou for the advice! ive actually played against bots alot because i was too scared to play killer, eventually a week ago i queued my first match and it went well, much easier than the bots haha! im learning the maps, the only ones i know super well are midwich and rpd lol so those are my favs@@chocolnrgaming
@@yuhhbaby3179Glad I had good advice! I wouldn't worry too much about leaving Spirit behind, though. I've essentially left the game now, but when I was still playing, I did go back to Spirit and I played her frequently. One of the better aspects of DBD is the variety of gameplay styles that the killer roster brings to the table. They each offer something unique, even if some are very similar to each-other. Spirit and Legion share some conceptual similarities, but they go about their tasks in different ways. Both hunt down a target with extreme speed, but one is encouraged to continue the initial pursuit, while the other is encouraged to spread the frenzy. Both lose some of their senses while in their power, forcing you to pay attention to not lose your opponent, but one emerges to get their senses back, while the other can choose to remain gaining _more_ information. The best way I can describe this is Spirit hunts one-by-one, and Legion hunts everyone at once. They're different experiences, and you'll likely enjoy both. No DBD player needs to pick just one Killer. By learning the basics, you'll guarantee that you can have fun with any killer.
@@MoNaema nice legion is on of my favorite killers I had him p3 before the prestige update so he is my only killer with a red background and he is my highest prestige killer currently although since I’m levying up xeno he will beat him eventually
When i was watching a Valorant content creator called WoohooJin (he watches demo's of his sub's games and teaches them how to play right), i was thinking about someone doing this type of content in DBD. And here we are, OTZ doing this.
Right after singularity is when I started playing. This is helping me a lot, I make a lot of the same mistakes as these guys. Very very helpful video. Thanks
This video is Super helpful! Getting your perspective and mindset from the games really made me learn a lot. and i have 800 hrs in game xD. It's enjoyable to watch too :)
I gotta comment, as a person watching the video I instantly noticed the Meg there when Reanchi (Clown) went to hook the survivor at timestamp 1:47:03 you can barely see her head peek quickly
It was really cool how the baby Pig played for like a maximally optimal outcome rather than just settling for the 1k. Even going for the Nea because she had no trap on her head. The survivor’s confidence gave so many openings as the game dragged on. Even some of those tough pallets from earlier in the match came in use. Really sick gameplay! Just a little bit better chase decision making and not rushing that first pickup, that feels like a 3K. Wonder where they are now.
Speaking as a pig main, she's definitely not great but this patch especially she's being underestimated. With the right perks and addons, you can be a real menace, as long as you can get a down or two. The fact that she can follow a trapped survivor and there's not much they can really do even in a SWF is very good if you do it at the right time. Obviously it's not a free win, or something you should do all the time, but it's a strategic option for us chess enjoyers that none of the top meta perks will really help against. I'm convinced this is the new way to play her, rather than the old "forget about head pops and use them as passive slowdown". Passive slowdown is pointless when the most popular perks are MFT and Adrenaline, where being injured doesn't matter at all. Bring gen blocking perks like Corrupt and Deadlock, and screaming perks like Face The Darkness or Ultimate Weapon and force people out of the game without mercy. Like, ask a competitive player if they think the ability to confirm a kill ~2 minutes after downing a survivor for the first time, they'll tell you that's not a bad deal at all. It's the same reason Sadako and tombstone Myers can be so oppressive; you don't have to hook. The problem is just getting that down quickly enough. After that, you're in full control over how much you harass them off boxes vs. applying pressure to the rest of the team. The past couple of months I've had a pretty successful run of Pig matches, with the only decisive losses being from very experienced SWFs who would honestly pose a challenge to even top tier killers. And even with them, sometimes I do manage to come out on top just barely.
Heeyy leet's gooooo As one of the people who asked for this kind of video a while back, I appreciate this. It's a little simple for me, but even practiced players make mistakes like these, simple reminders are good.
1:10:10 awful advice for a new player. Gen slowdown perks are horrible for learning killer and let you win games you shouldn’t like noed does. When I was a new player I wish I was told not to only use slowdown perks so I can actually rely on my killer power and skill to win games. Losing games against hardcore teams as a beginner should be a learning curve and a way for the mmr to know they’re way over leveled for you at least rn Having 4 gen regress perks is basically like playing with no perks but the painful parts of this game last longer. I’ll also admit I don’t use any gen regress as killer despite my 2000+ hours purely because I was miserable until I stopped and took the time to truly learn the game without those perks. If you’re miserable playing killer please take one thing from all of this. Take off the gen regress, yes you’ll lose a lot especially at the start but you’ll eventually learn the game and enjoy the chase again.
And this is my problem with the "mmr" system. This poor pig has 80 hours and is facing 2 ttvs, possibly in a swf, several who are looping quite well. Just doesn't seem fair, though the player handled it well. Regardless really enjoying this series of Otz giving advice to killers.
the first thing i learned as killer (and i play like, for 4 days) is to not be afriad to leave the chase and go check the gens that are being worked on. especially if isee survivor being cocky, meaning they want me to chase them. Never do what you they want you to do.
Otz had good points. But I think 1 aspect of legion that is overlooked is the speed and distance covered in power. When dealing with a 3 gen that wide, use your power to find the gen and get the survivors off.

Lmao that video made me laugh so much, this dude otz was stressing 😂😂
@@MoNaemaThat gameplay was so rough, but I will give credit that some of your plays were good even by PC standards. Only so much you can do on console.
You can do anything to get on “Otz’s got talent” nowadays as long as you have an emotional backstory.
I really appreciate these type of videos like these because it kinda helps me reflect in my killer gameplay and see other people’s errors and correct on them if self reflect on myself if I’m doing any of these things in my killer gameplay. So, I can be a better killer
To be honest, all of my knowledge in DBD came from Father Otz with his commentary
I would love more videos like this, I have 1.5k hours (around devotion 6 iirc) and the random tidbits here and there are really useful! plus more otz content the better
This will be fun, much love to you Otz!
I always love seeing supportive Otz 😊
Otz is just too wholesome man, idk how some people could hate on him🤷🏻♂️
delusional people think otz is always making other perks “meta” and think he’s really killer sided. it’s really dumb how entitled some ppl can be
i do hate otz because some of his takes are utter garbage, his content is entertaining though
@@syn4621 you hate a person because you don't agree with some of his takes.... I don't need to know more💀
@@MasterMike_ yes im free to not like a person if I don't like their opinions, but i do respect him and find his content very educational and entertaining, I don't see what's wrong with it?
@@syn4621 you said "hate" my guy, that's a big word, now you're backtracking to "not liking", that's a whole different thing, hating someone for they different takes over a videogame is weird af.
More like this please, really insightful seeing you analyze someone elses gameplay.
Really enjoyed watching this. Hope to see more of this series.
The legion player had so much pressure too! Great video thanks for doing these ❤
Pls more episodes of DBD Viewer Games. Was fun to watch and I learned much more about DBD and Killers.
Honestly this series should continue it has so much potential
Otz just fostering the best community possible for DBD. This game can be cruel as heck so it's good to see someone bring a good culture about
Please keep on doing this. Love it so much!
15:40 6 hooks is really good for any m1 with only one gen slowdown
Hey I was the legion, thanks I appreciate it 😂😊
@@MoNaema nice legion is on of my favorite killers I had him p3 before the prestige update so he is my only killer with a red background and he is my highest prestige killer currently although since I’m levying up xeno he will beat him eventually
@@brysonemery9232that’s great, I’ve also got the red back ground as legion was also my first p3 😂
This type is content is incredible, so fresh.
1:31:46 “had to deny that z wall” lmao
Man this is so awesome. I wouldve loved to send one of my games for this. Great content as always brother!
When i was watching a Valorant content creator called WoohooJin (he watches demo's of his sub's games and teaches them how to play right), i was thinking about someone doing this type of content in DBD. And here we are, OTZ doing this.
This is a really good video. Hope you keep this series.
You're so nice giving feedback, I like watching this.
Woo hoo, another new quick video. Love it!!!
Right after singularity is when I started playing. This is helping me a lot, I make a lot of the same mistakes as these guys. Very very helpful video. Thanks
Thanks otz I think this video is gonna be amazing for learning for new player as me that only have 120 h in game thx for this !
80 hours in and this is what he's playing against?! xD S tier match making
Glad I have something to watch now
This video is Super helpful! Getting your perspective and mindset from the games really made me learn a lot. and i have 800 hrs in game xD. It's enjoyable to watch too :)
I gotta comment, as a person watching the video I instantly noticed the Meg there when Reanchi (Clown) went to hook the survivor at timestamp 1:47:03 you can barely see her head peek quickly
amazing video otz!!!! really liked to learn from you.
I only just started playing killer this was so helpful to watch. Especially the commentary on who to chase
Heeyy leet's gooooo
As one of the people who asked for this kind of video a while back, I appreciate this. It's a little simple for me, but even practiced players make mistakes like these, simple reminders are good.
I love these critique videos please keep them coming and ty.
This came out just as I wanted to watch pig gameplay
1:10:10 awful advice for a new player. Gen slowdown perks are horrible for learning killer and let you win games you shouldn’t like noed does. When I was a new player I wish I was told not to only use slowdown perks so I can actually rely on my killer power and skill to win games. Losing games against hardcore teams as a beginner should be a learning curve and a way for the mmr to know they’re way over leveled for you at least rn
Having 4 gen regress perks is basically like playing with no perks but the painful parts of this game last longer.
This series is of great value
Insanely good comeback. I think that 1 mistake to not chase Feng at the end cost the 3K, but still very good performance.
I love Otz's backseat gaming on already recorded gameplay
Next Patch: *Pig starts with trap on her head*
Could be worse.
Imagine the patch after. ALL killers start with traps on their heads.
Except Bubba. Bubba starts with three.
The xenomorph getting blinded made me scream
I love this series so much already
I remember you doing this on stream once glad this is becoming a real thing! :D
That xeno genuinely played almost perfectly, the situation just was not in his favor
1:14:00
I was cooking and this made me turn to my phone wondering what Otz just said XD
I love this kind of videos! Keep it up!
And this is my problem with the "mmr" system. This poor pig has 80 hours and is facing 2 ttvs, possibly in a swf, several who are looping quite well. Just doesn't seem fair, though the player handled it well.
Regardless really enjoying this series of Otz giving advice to killers.
Now this is a really cool idea for a video series
im so excited abt this series I LOVEEE VODS
That Myers game felt like a sneaky attempt at self-promotion.
Learning a lot with these videos
37:09- 37:34 the reason I only play 4 gen slowdown on traversable killers
Please do this more it’s the best way to teach us as well
Yo, the closed captions are out of sync, just thought you should know. :)
Not Otz watching an Otz fan playing Pig while watching Otz.
Inceptiotz.
the first thing i learned as killer (and i play like, for 4 days) is to not be afriad to leave the chase and go check the gens that are being worked on. especially if isee survivor being cocky, meaning they want me to chase them. Never do what you they want you to do.
Otz had good points. But I think 1 aspect of legion that is overlooked is the speed and distance covered in power. When dealing with a 3 gen that wide, use your power to find the gen and get the survivors off.
Ah, another quick otz video!
more vids like this plz, super fun to watch and educational
1:35:41 I see Otz lives by Obi Wan's lessons
