I saw Deicide play Live in the late 80's, 90's, 2000's, and 2010's...Cant wait for the 5th decade!
30 years today since the first Deicide record was released. Still holds up! Crank it up!
Their first 2 albums were amazing. Their third was decent but after that, it all sounds the same

We, in our 40s and 50s remember a time when this didn't exist. And yet now we can't imagine our lives without the extreme metal soundtrack.
All the top 40 bands of the 80s are playing nostalgia tours, and yet here are a death metal band with near 40 years of material to perform.
And still knocking out a killer show.

At this point, one would think that Steve Asheim would have been replaced with a younger drummer. Obviously no need for that, he can still grind it out today.
Glen is the only one of his generation who still can growl like that. His voice became even deeper and lower throu the years.

I remember fondly the first time I heard Deicide. I never needed to listen to Slayer again after that day.
Slayer was and still is my favourite band of all time, but when i was younger i had a friend That i introduced metal to and he found decide before i did and he said the same thing. He said why slayer when you can listen to deicide. I love both bands but i see where youre coming from
In a perfect world, both bands touring together with original members
I got introduced to decide and slayer on the same day in the mid ‘90s. Fucking still love it.
Slayer still has a great sound but yeah, Deicide was very heavy satanic shit and I loved it when it came out. No other death metal band has a similar sound

Whenever I hear death metal, I feel the techniques of unknown guitarists of the bands are really amazing on every single songs. The real technicians might be hiding in the extreme metal bands.
WoW Such a badass performance! It has blown my mind instantly even though the guitars were too low in the mix. They played all their hits with an enviable precision. I'm speechless. I just wish I lived in Germany or where it was.

The new line up is great too; they've made such great songs in the last two albums, I don't get the hate (besides the ones regarding Santolla's solo, which like 99% of guitarist couldn't even minimally handle too)

Shit 1995 was when I discovered them. I was at my local Best Buy and just happen to pick up Deicide's debut album. When I played it for a friend he was blown away as well. I still have yet to see them in concert.

I once saw Kent Hovind at one of Deicide's gigs. He knew all the words and at one point threw his knickers at Glen Benton and shouted 'this is my holy offering to you oh dark lord'. True story.

It's still a mystery to me how Kevin managed to get into a band like Deicide.

Probably through being in Council of the Fallen and later in its continuation Order of Ennead together with Steve Asheim. I have no doubt he is talented but he is not able to reproduce the old solos correctly. He is not the first or the last guitarist with such problem. :-)

*2019.... the gig was cool, deicide itself was great. But the audience, i love the festival but so many people there where from this softmetal crowd that just stood there and do nothing. Rly i mean i was about to freak out when the middle part of dead by dawn started, but a cupple just watched to me with hatred .. i went to the pit by then but holy shit guys, dont go to a concert when you freak out cause someone is screaming lyrics, headbangs his neck off and plays air guitar/bass. Cmon its deicide who is on the stage!!!!!!!

Crowds like this are just irritating, they need to be shot in the head, Useless gaymetal defenders who don't have a minimal understanding on how it works when real badass bands come out on stage. I miss so much the good old days where I was litterally flying through the moshpit.

Damn it, they always find a way to mess up Glen's audio for his voice. Sounds like his voice was actually really good here, but they didn't pick it up to the mic and turn his sound levels up high enough. They definitely need a better sound tech or people that know what the hell they are doing during a sound check.
