  • This is the process that I went through to repaint and modify Bachmann and Mehano trolley cars. I hope you enjoy the process.

    I usually spray paint a "frosted glass" paint to better bring out/show the passenger silhouettes. Or if I have no paint I use white tissue wrapping paper taped inside.

    Great as real life trams are usually dull......but have lots of advertising and name places on the front and back....

    Outstanding and inspiring transformation. They look like quality models just with the painting you did alone. Also is that an old Triang/ATT RDC I see on the layout?

    i run several of these small trolleys on one circuit.....when I add another trolley to the circuit, the rest of the trlleys slow down...Is there anyway that I can have a constant speed of those trolleys on the circuit, regardless of an another rolley?

      With multiple trolleys running on a single track, it is like a series wiring where each trolley draws power at it's own rate. Only with DCC can you speed match trolleys/locomotives.

    How did you pop out the glass thinking of painting my trolly

    I wonder how come some trolley are all wheel drive and some are two wheel drive. The two wheel drive doesn't pull the dummy.
    Also where could I get parts ?

      Parts get expensive and even buying other non-running trolleys can get pricey. If I have some extra pocket change, I will buy others to cannibalize the parts.

      I'm just saying it was cheaper to make it two wheel drive. I just bought a set of eBay and the dummy and plastic Wheels so that was a really low budget version..

      @@robertknight4672 I have had 4 wheel drive trolleys and locos that have a cracked gear, and have found they run better with just two weel drive and the cracked gear removed.

    Where did you get the gate for the door?

    • @WWIIREBEL
      @WWIIREBEL Год назад +1

      From what i can see, the gates are scratch-built. They aren't hard to make.

      I scratchbuilt the gates with styrene rod and tulle (wedding veil material from Michaels)
