You're lucky your cat has such a high voice. Mine has a deep and power meow, plus he's figured out that meowing in someone's ear while they're sleeping is even more effective than meowing anywhere else. All that is before he even starts to really caterwaul. My cat is incredibly loud! Every time he sees me, he meows.

My Siamese sat like that too! While my other domestic cat sat with his legs apart. Then I figured out that it's because Siamese cats have longer legs so to have their back straight they put legs together and towards the body to shorten the leg length

My Siamese cat that just passed away rarely meowed for some reason. The only time he meowed a lot was when he heard the can opener opening a can of tuna. He would come running from across the house and start meowing like crazy. I miss him so much. Guess that's why I'm watching videos of other Siamese cats 😥

Yes, the classic, "wedge" type Siamese sounds and looks like these guys: ruclips.net/video/WwSYm1NPHP4/видео.html. That's the "fire engine" Monody means. The round or "applehead" like this guy is much more pleasant to listen to. The "wedge" is a 20th century development. The "apple" is the much older version. i don't know if the "dying fire engine" is connected to the wedge shaped head or not, but I'm using the "fire engine" as a description from now on. Its perfect.

@@diamonds5457 I just recently had open heart surgery. My cat got right under my feet while I was walking and I hit the floor chest first. I had a few choice words for him. But he's been forgiven and back in my good graces. How could he not? He's my best friend.

We had a Siamese for 10 years. It was too hot where we lived and he was having a tough time, so we had to send him up North to live with my mother in law where it was cooler. He’s passed away now. I miss him so much!

Currently, I have an 18 year old male American Bobtail mix. He’s my sweet boy kitty. He was diagnosed with kidney disease maybe 3 years ago. He gets special Rx food, subcutaneous fluids at home, and I recently started giving him bottled water to drink, instead of tap water. All the reports out there about how dirty, bad for you the tap water has gotten. Just thought I’d express my sympathy bc my baby is dying, and yours has already left to go. I’ve lost others of my fur babies over the years, and it was devastating every time. I feel ya, man...

Oddly enough, I too had a siamese cat named Max. He was a small little apple head siamese who loved to talk. He was a skinny little fella who loved people food, we limited him though to keep him healthy.
That being said, he was always trying to sneak food. One time the family was eating and he starts speedwalking by with a bratwurst sausage in his mouth. I loved him so much. He lived to be about 16 which is long for some purebred siamese though.

That variation of the breed is more like it was originally with a foreign class body type as opposed to the oriental body type of the modern Siamese. Also, the fact that he's as dark as he is is a result of age. A Siamese's color points start to bleed out into the light colored areas a few years after they are born.

He seemed crabby and cranky so I asked what was wrong
He proceeded to tell me what he didn't like about me
He also shared

I said she talks to me
I am just being polite and responsive
He didn't agree
And wouldn't you know
As if 'right on cue'
My cat meandered my way
Looked up at me
And started to talk to me
I said
'See, she starts it'
What he didn't know was that my cat was telling me
'Don't trust anyone who doesn't like cats'
I took her advice and stopped dating him
In retrospect, I don't know why I liked him in the first place

I got a cat myself and he ALWAYS talks to me when I do something. If I get off of my bed, he talks. If I go upstairs, he talks. If I try and go to sleep, he talks and each and everytime he talks it's so damn adorable that I just wanna grab him and cuddle him and never let go. This looked like my Siamese cat that died a few years ago. He would’ve had another 5 years but he had cancer. His name was Bonzi. I have wanted another Siamese cat so bad ever since.
Chad I had one who lived to age 17. She died in 1985. I had a lot of other cats, never got another pure Siamese, but adopted 2 half Siamese bros from the humane society. One died a few years back, but the other is still with me and now 17 himself. I dread the idea of losing him and my 13 year old lab pit mix.
My first cat was a siamese we called Tanya, cohabited with her from 5 till 27, still dream about her on a GOOD night! Helluva great cat.
