You don't really need to buy a Fujifilm X100V right now...

- It's really hard to recommend buying the Fujifilm X100v in 2023 due to the price hikes and it being out of stock everywhere. You should really be looking towards the other series of cameras such as the X-H1 and X-T5. #fujifilmx100v #fujifilm #fujifilmx100f #shorts

I agree that older Fuji cameras are a better value. Go for an XT2 and a prime 23mm f2 or 27mm f2.8.
Switched from a Canon 77D upon purchasing a X-T2 for $600, I've been loving it ever since.
(Fun fact: the seller and I shared the same first name).
The X-T2 paired with the Artisans 25mm F1.8, it's changed the way I shoot for the better. Every photo feels sentimental.
I wanted this camera back when it first came out, It had all the features I wanted. As soon as I got the money to be able to get it. The fad value boosted it all the way to an unreachable point. So now it's just a dream again. 😢
X100vi just got announced and comes out next week, it’s your time
Rocking the x100t. Amazing little camera
I have an XE-2 & a 27mm f2.8 on it. Love this little gem of a camera.
I bought an X100V right when it launched. Gotta say, I like its depreciation 👌
The original x100 just has an amazing film look that I like to render sometimes.
People forget about the X-T30ii? Literally the best Fuji to buy rn for the money
Nowhere near the best Fuji camera🤷♂️
@@Jabber-ig3iwwhy not??
sshhhhh don't let them know...
its ugly, its an weird middle ground betweend XT and the rest. I would aim at XE as a small travel camera.
either get an XE3, or XT2, the XT20-30 is fine but XT30ii isn't that great for the price, just get the XT20 and a lens
While the X100V might not be a huge leap in terms of IQ there are certain quality of life improvements that make it a significant upgrade in my opinion - including the new lens design (it was effectively unchanged since the original X100), tilting screen and weather resistance.
I think a lot of the appeal of the X100V is from the film simulations. Youll still get them going with an earlier Fuij canera, but not the later ones designed for the X100V Unless you get another Fuji with the Trans IV sensor or later.
The XE3 is the perfect entry for a Fuji rangefinder, on the pre owned market. It's a very modern and mature jump in the XE lineup and doesn't go for crazy prices online.
I have one for many years now and I’m really happy but want to find my everyday lense now . Currently have the Viltrox 23mm 1.4 but too heavy for everyday usage . Maybe a manual lens like the 25mm 2.0 or the 17mm 1.4 . What do you recommend ?
@@outofalexcam maybe have a look at the Brightin star 35mm f0.95?
I don't like to be bound to one focal length anyway. Unless I'm using an interchangeable prime lens.
the only reason i want x100 or even more so x-pro is not for sensor or film emulation, it's for physical viewfinder on a compact (and great looking) camera
Finally got my hands on an XE2 & decided I am pretty much done looking for another Fujifilm 😂
Xe2 is the best Fuji camera and I’ve owned a bunch of them including the 100v
Why do you think the xe2 is the best?
Picked up my x100v at the end of 2020 for retail from adorama. I have no idea why it became so popular. It’s a great camera. Maybe tiktok?
The X100V and all the other X trans 4 sensors have more filmemulation settings like color chrome and clarity, using the X-e3 for 3 years i really wished i got the x100v or one of the others with the same sensor
The XH1 is my favorite camera of all time. It's a powerhouse
XT-5 it is
Still love my 10 years old X100S, even very beat up still a fun camera to use
Everything still works? No prob with buttons or other physical problems? If yes then Wow what a build quality 👏👏
@@datdudeinred only dents outside due to heavily used. Buttons still very sturdy. I shoot in all condition very hot, rain, or freezing no problem with camera. Only batteries death which is normal.
I use an x70, honestly I wouldn't make the jump even to the x100VI. I would rather go for another compact body with interchangeable lenses like an xe or xpro.
Or just buy an X-E1,2,3,4... and it will look and feel the exact same!
Personally, I think the V was a tremendous upgrade from the F. I felt like that generation of cameras had the feel of “prototype” whereas by the V etc, they were fully fledged.
*the seller punching the sky right now*
Can you explain that shot counter to me? Is it like you have a limited amount of shots on the camera and then it becomes useless?
That’s just how many photos has been taken on the camera. Gives an indication to how “worn” a camera is but with proper maintenance these cameras can shoot forever
I got my x100v for retail in a half of a week from a big store by paying upfront. Not that tuff.
You just got lucky.
I remember my first beer
Is getting a fijifilm cam really that different from any other brands? I wanna try and get into photography mostly for myself since i just use my phone💀 and the one that i know of for now, that i liked was this one or the 6. But is it a good first camera or the xt is a better option
They’re heavily overpriced for someone just getting into photography imo. If you like the look of the Fuji’s check out the x-s10 or x-s20. Insanely good amount of features for a better price
Fort Worth shots?
Can the older Fuji camera with the same sensor do the same film simulations as the X100v generation?
Yes
Do xh1 and xt2 come with film simulations as well?
Yep yep
Who makes that camera strap?
Squarehood sweden
Dear people of comments, which Fuji do like the most?
X-H1.
XT-2 because that's the best I could afford
I just bought a Fujifilm X100V for Camera Leader
where
We have a source for cameras for our rental company @@ba0haus705
What camera strap is that?
squarehood from Sweden does similar ones
I bought my x100F used a few years ago, sold it about a year ago and think I actually made money on it. Price went up a little after the V came out and people either couldn't afford it, or couldn't find one. So the price of the F went up as well.
This camera is available new on Amazon and at Best Buy… idk what you’re talking about with rarity and all that
“Video uploaded June 12, 2023”
They may be listed, you may purchase, but you might get a response saying out of stock while they keep your dough.
@@sclogse1 Amazon doesn’t work like that and neither does Best Buy… so no… that’s not what happens. Amazon along with Best Buy are extremely reputable companies in store and online.
I burned my fingers with the original X100, it was a gimmicky slow turd. Not to be used for anything serious. As a four times Fuji owner ( xt1, xpro2, xh1) there are far better and cheaper Fuji cameras out there. The x100 is very limited and don’t make that into a treat.
Reel Talk!
lets be honest. people buy x100 for the look.
And the slightly larger optics makes the image rendering a bit better than the gr imo
There are so many overpriced second hand that will drop next month be patient
It’s overpriced now
It is a seriously over rated camera.
In what area is it overrated?
@@sclogse1 I have a X-T3 and tried the X100V earlier in the year. The Fuji colour science is over-rated and I find that both Nikon and OMDS delivers just as good colours. Luminance noise is pretty average and at times the colours look pastelly, with the greens coming out looking way too bright. The X100V viewfinder is difficult to see with glasses and the camera is not fully weather-sealed. Battery life can be better too. I am now looking at selling my X-T3 and simply focussing on using my E-M5ii and Nikon D750/Z6 systems.
It feels overrated possibly because of the price and there are other fuji cameras equivalent to the setup. But ive taken more street & travel photos in a month with the x100v than my xt5 with any lens even a small voigtlander 35mm f1.2.. The convenience is way better
