You should probably know, the creator of this song, Wowaka, had unfortunately passed away a few years ago, rolling girl was one of his most famous songs, I recommend checking out his other songs if you get the chance
basically the whole song is about depression and trying to fight it. "one more roll" means she wants to live one more day,and the boy represents depression. Miku is trying to live but the depression is slowly winning and in the end the boy hugs her, which means she gave up and comitted suicide. i hope this helps a bit
I like the fact that you researched information at the end of the video, most react RUclipsrs are lazy and don't even bother about the real source, I totally loved that.
Never heard or seen anyone comment on the countermelody in the guitar starting at 4:13 and picking up at 4:33 get brought up whenever people talk about this song, and I feel like bringing attention to it because it's really frickin' cool.
Please credit Wowaka and any producers if you react to vocaloid, Wowaka hated Miku getting more credit than him or only being known as someone that makes Miku songs and not by his name. Wowaka made two songs about this issue, Two Faced Lovers and Unknown Mother Goose. The last one was unfortunately the last song he released as he died due to heart problems.
@@JustinPanariello Vocaloid has a huge range. Super happy songs to horrifying songs. Fast or slow. Metal. Pop. Indian. Spanish. All elite iconic songs. Viva Happy is Vocaloid and so is Beheading Dance. Viva viva Happy du lu du du. Beheading Dance is as dark as it sounds. Darker. Beheading Dance is about the time Samurai had a dispute with prostitutes and beheaded all the prostitutes and everyone in the town. Told from the perspective of the Corpses. With Hatsune Miku. Viva Happy is also a great song. Mitchie M is a great songwriter and all his songs are super happy.
Wowaka and specialy that song was greatly work on and thougth of. it the story of someone that life with anxiaty and depression alway getting hurt and wanting to end it all. so it a story of suicide. and Miku in the video keep getting hurt none stop. and the rythm make it sound like it a nonestop rolling beat. and in black and white and in the end she does take her life when she get to see the color. So it has great meaning, a twisted story. and the guy helping her was not truly a guy it was more of her subconscience trying to talk herself out of it. But anyway, Hatsune Miku is just the vocal voice used. She can and has been used on many great song and specialy for her concert tour. there great to analyse and specialy the lyric. some of does song where made by people (Fan and supporter) not necesseraly in the music industry but do have great lyrics inspiration and Miku or a vocaloid allow such people song to be heard. does song are also collaborated production from one composer to a other. before the concert some fanmade song from the country or city were she play are voted by the fans to be played on stage. it been 14 years and she keep on singing and being given song to sing

Episode 0 that you have reacted to was also first released as vocaloid
@@JustinPanariello a lot of people don't get that Hatsune Miku is creepy. She's cute. But also creepy. Her voice is inhuman. I don't want her to sound identical to a human. Most iconic vocaloid songs are either sad, creepy or disturbing. There was an MV made for the Sega Hatsune Miku rythm game 'Project Diva' for the song 'We are the Happiness and Peace of Mind Commitee' where she tells everyone that it's their duty to be happy. That if they aren't happy she will murder them. And she looks so cute doing it. I think it sums up Miku perfectly.
Not sure how to feel about it. This is the kind of stuff my kids (they’re in their 30s) listen to when reading manga, playing Pokémon and not making money) I like electronic music (daft punk) but this is kind of too far vocally for me. Give me some real singers and musicians any day. So, Wagakki band versions have to be way better. Give me some Band-Maid, even Baby Metal. 🤣🤣
Vocaloid songs aren't about sounding the best but putting out songs without a face and for a period without a label. A Wagakki band version can be better but the song wouldn't exist without vocaloid.
they arent real singers (the producers) but are real musicians, they had to sync all the voices which can be difficult and make the music itself too. Plus Miku isn't completely computer generated and Saki Fujita had to do her voice sampling. You don't gotta like it though

I would say "Unknown Mother Goose" is his swan song. When you see the live version you can see the love for his passing.
Probably the most upbeat song about depression and suicide
Counterpoint, Let's Drop Death
how about whatever, whatever, whatever by ner0 ?? its really upbeat and really depressing
It's not upbeat at all. What is upbeat about this?! The notes are all the scary and melancholy ones!
@@TopOfAllWorldsmore than upbeat I think that they meant the high BPM the song has and how fastpaced is the piano, lyrics and everything

omg. someone actually did have you watch miku. good song choice
I picked it, this wasn't a request.
